Hackatra 2024 is a Summer of Code program designed to harness the creativity and expertise of participants to enhance our open-source mission and tackle critical challenges in global education. By participating, individuals will contribute to impactful solutions that can revolutionize educational practices worldwide.

WHAT TO BUILD?
- Explore our codebase and start contributing today. Our repository is open to contributions from developers of all skill levels, offering a range of projects that can benefit from fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Project Objectives
- Local Directory Video Transcription: Develop a solution for transcribing videos stored in local directories.
- Local LLM UI with Authentication and Weekly Email Report: Create a user interface for local large language models with authentication and a weekly email report feature.
- Ask Catalyst: Enhance member engagement and facilitate community collaboration via WhatsApp, leveraging the Mobius codebase and LLM technology trained on Catalyst 2030 website data.
- Grant Writing Support Tool: Aid grant writers within the Catalyst community by leveraging resources from the Social Change Innovators platform.
- Agri AI Chatbot on WhatsApp: Develop a LLM powered chatbot on WhatsApp to provide agricultural insights and facilitate bookkeeping tasks for farmers.
- WhatsApp AI Tutor: Build an AI tutor on WhatsApp using LLM technology to provide interactive learning and support across text, image, and audio formats, with Whisper integration for audio transcription.
- AskShaperAI: Develop AskShaperAI using LLM technology tailored for the Global Shapers Community to enhance member engagement and support collaborative efforts, utilizing user profiles for enhanced partner recommendations.
What to Submit:
- Demo Video: Your video should be under 3 minutes, include a demo of how your solution works, and highlight your novel idea.
- Code: Provide a URL and access to your GitHub repository. Include all relevant project code and a README with getting started instructions. Make your code public or share access with the VrukshEco GitHub account. The code must be open-sourced under an appropriate license.
- Write-Up: Explain your project's strengths in each of the four judging criteria (up to 250 words each). Provide supporting facts and statistics. The criteria are:
- Impactfulness: Solving a real-world problem.
- Innovativeness: Use of AI, ML, LLM, or emerging tech.
- Ambitiousness: Scale and complexity of the solution.
- Applicability: Potential for real-world adoption.
