HackDavis is back and better than ever! We are UC Davis's major collegiate hackathon dedicated to social good. This winter, over 500 students, hackers, and creatives will come together for 24 hours of hacking. We're providing a platform to bring together the most talented students in California to address the world's most pressing social issues.

There are three main tracks to the hackathon: Environment, Health & Wellness, and Education. With these 3 tracks, we hope to inspire change and cultivate a growing hacker community dedicated to social change at UC Davis.

Judging Criteria

  • Technical Difficulty
Hacks that are more difficult to implement will be scored highly. Impressive architecture, technical difficulty, and solving hard problems are all important parts of a successful hack. Using more advanced technologies is also a plus.
  • Creativity
We want HackDavis to be an environment that encourages highly innovative and different ideas, so we will be keeping an eye out for ideas that pique our interest or make us see the space or problem differently.
  • Social Impact
HackDavis is a hackathon about social good. The hacks that most benefit our nonprofits, make a positive impact on the local community, and benefit humanity as a whole will score some major points.
