Valentine's Day is coming up, and what better way to show your love (or disdain) for the holiday by making a themed app or mobile game!

Come join us for a 24-hour Hackathon, Hackentines! Make an Valentine-themed game, or an app that helps us all find true love or a nice gift suggestion app, or the next big zombie dating simulator.  Afterall, the undead deserve to find love too!  It's up to you what you want to make!

Lots of prizes, and food/drinks for the whole day! Mentors and Judges will be joining us from local companies and SFU itself.

Find a group of up to five people (SFU students) and start planning your idea and designs NOW! No actual/real, non-pseudo code before the event.

Looking to make a game?
Check out Unity2D and Unity3D, they're free :)
Also, get the Github Student Pack (Unreal Engine 4 and a ton of other tools for free) https://education.github.com/pack

Bring your own Laptop + Power charger, and pre-install all programs you need for the event (don't want to lose any precious time!)

You are allowed to work with other hardware, so bring them if you plan to use them!

This small hackathon is targetted towards SFU students to help build an interest in hacking and working on projects outside of their courses.  Every year we hold it during SFU's spring Reading Break as many students are available during that time a nice change from studying and prepping for courses.
