Horrible
By waynerd on June 28, 2025
Instantly says I have over 19000 images on my website which is BS. Then when I try to "optimize" them all it says it's "Done" while showing I have 11000+ still unoptimized and it's only at 41% finished, but it's "done"? Glitchy POS, NOT renewing.
If you have a development local site, then you will pay twice
By zortman on June 26, 2025
If you have a development local site, then you will pay twice is you want to run optimizer on the live site. Plus you will pay 5 times for each image. And then the chat virtual assistant led me to screw up my live site when I tried to run optimizer on my live site, since it was considered a new site, and I received all sorts or errors. So, now my site is unusable and I am unable to restore my backup since the site has to work to restore.

Great! Image optimization plugin
It's terrifying!

It's terrifying! Just optimizing two images at the same time caused the CPU usage to hit 100%! It's completely unusable!
horrible experience

horrible!
- the "optimizer" only appears if you user the "list" style in the gallery. so here I am wasting life scrolling thousands of images, and clicking a docen times in the image lookig how optimizing an image to discover it doesn't show because I don't like the gallery in "list" style... stupid.
- I can't select how much I want to compress an image, yeah 60% is nice but the result sucks
- If I were you, I would avoid any bulk action
- I use it only because boss paid for elementor pro
Meh.

Pics end up way more blurry than I'd like for a graphic design site.

When active, slows down the whole admin panel.
requires subscription to do much

There are no options on how lossy (compression level) to use, all you can pick is Lossy and Lossless. 2nd, it only optimizes 200 images without a paid plan, which is just silly and is reached after just optimizing like 5 images because likely you have a dozen of other thumb sizes that it's going to do (optionally) and each one of those counts towards your quota. 3rd, it's very slow (at least on my GoGeek siteground plan) when it optimizes and takes a minute even when I've selected to optimize none of the thumbnails but just the original. This seems overly slow for running image compression on a single image size.
I don’t need a million images optimized, nor even 5000!
By nelsondewey on March 18, 2025
I used the 200 ‘free’ optimizations. Seemed to be useful. But Elementor won’t sell me the additional 2-300 that I need. They insist I have to ‘subscribe’ to a ‘monthly’ plan — one that requires paying for a full year — for 5000 image credits.
They suggested I look around for other optimization plugins.
A VERY STRANGE way to do business.
