Welcome!

Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations, Inc. (IPBS) is a not-for-profit association of nine NPR radio stations and eight PBS television stations that serve as trusted resources for news, educational programming, and entertainment.  IPBS member stations work together to deliver free and accessible programming over the air, online, and in person. They reach 95% of Indiana’s population and more than 2.5 million Hoosiers consume IPBS content on a weekly basis.

The mission of IPBS is to connect Indiana’s public media stations to the critical support and insights they need to inspire and serve all Hoosiers.  Stations are located in Bloomington, Elkhart, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Merrillville, Muncie, South Bend, Vincennes, and West Lafayette.

Our Impact

Image

Indiana public television and radio stations are catalysts for education, dedicated to lifelong learning for every Hoosier.  IPBS stations provide national and local content to classrooms, offer teacher training, and provide broadcasting and datacasting services to school districts engaged in at-home learning.

Image

IPBS stations embrace their public safety responsibility and are committed to maximizing technology for the public good.  IPBS stations serve the general public by providing live weather radar, alert messaging and essential training to first responders through emergency simulations and developmental exercises.

Public broadcasters in Indiana regard their viewers and listeners as citizens, not consumers. Providing trustworthy news and information and facilitating thoughtful civic discourse is of paramount importance.
