YH: Iron Hacks is a 12 hackathon meant to bring together high schoolers who are interested in a day of coding, learning and collaboration to make something awesome. Participants in our high school hackathon can use any language and any hardware components they'd like to bring their ideas to life. We will have mentors and workshops to help students new to coding both learn and make something cool!
Eligibility
To be eligible to enter this hackathon you must be a high school student. Team sizes are capped at 4 people per group.
Comes with ideas and not pre-existent code.
Most importantly HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!
Requirements
All projects that are submitted must be a working app or something that is able to run. All code submitted must be made during this hackathon.
When you submit you will submit all code/imgs or anyfiles necessary to your submission.
Prizes
Grand Prize winner at Iron Hacks
All members of the first place team will receive a free membership to Admit.me. Admit.me is a college prep site that could help you get into your dream college.
2nd and 3rd place winners at Iron Hacks $200
All members of the 2nd and 3rd place team will receive 100 dollars of credit for any course provided by The Flatiron School.
LeanGap Prize
The top three social enterprise-focused hacks will receive free applications to our program (LeanGap) and the opportunity to discuss their projects with Eddy Zhong.
