Yes. Keycard works standalone with NFC-enabled smartphones via the Status app on iOS and Android, or with the USB Desktop Reader on desktop. The Shell is optional and adds air-gapped signing and a dedicated screen.

If you have a backup Keycard with the same keys, you can continue using it immediately. If you've lost all copies, your seed phrase is your recovery path.
