Hi there! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I'm Khaled, a perception engineer specializing in computer vision (CV) and autonomous systems. At NASA, I developed CV algorithms for Astrobee robots on the International Space Station (ISS), focusing on real-time pose estimation, visual tracking, and marker-based navigation in safety-critical environments.

Robot Sim-To-Real Learning

Train robots using RL in NVIDIA Isaac Sim

Examples of training Franka robots on tasks like opening drawers using PPO. Includes reward shaping, domain randomization, and sim-to-real transfer configs.

These days, I'm building Pebble: an autonomous camping trailer with dual electric motors providing towing assistance and extended range. Using CV and in-house trained DNNs, it can auto-dock to your vehicle, level itself in pitch and roll, and many other cool robot features.
