What is a Consensus

A consensus is an algorithmic protocol on the Blockchain network. These protocols control the activities on a Blockchain network.

Considering the fact that the blockchain network is decentralized in structure with no central authority, Consensus protocols ensure that only valid transactions are being approved by participating nodes on the Blockchain network.

According to GeekforGeeks, the consensus protocol makes sure that every new block that is added to the Blockchain is the one and only version of the truth that is agreed upon by all the nodes in the Blockchain.

Consensus for TransFi

TransFi is a blockchain-based Protocol that enables its users and businesses to enjoy a fair and efficient transport ecosystem. It is a Blockchain-based protocol that grants users efficient access and tools to support transport services on a global scale. TransFi is built to solve challenges, granting full access and control to everyone in the global ecosystem.

With the vision that TransFi has for the entire transport ecosystem, TransFI will be adopting certain consensus to ensure the security, privacy, trust, and efficiency of the entire TransFi ecosystem. Some of these consensuses include:

All of these consensuses and a lot more to be mentioned are been employed to solve real-time issues currently being faced within the centralized system of the transport network through improvement in autonomous tracking, supply chain management, and payment protocols.

Can Blockchain solve the problem that different sectors are facing? one thing we know for sure is that Blockchain will ease out some of the processes in each sector thereby causing ease of work and tremendous growth. This technology can enhance the efficiency of the entire transport system including transport companies who are into shipping. And One way the blockchain can do this is by matching shippers with carriers easily, thereby reducing the number of intermediaries and providing a more enhanced means of payment and receipt through digital currencies.

Now, let’s look at out how the transport sector can thrive better on the Blockchain

Fleet tracking System

Companies with lots of vehicles would need some form of high security in real time, tracking their vehicles at every terminal or point in the supply chain. This would give all the stakeholders involved in the supply chain a sense of security and 360 insight on what is going on at each point.

In order to improve customer service experience, accurate departure and arrival estimates through tracking vehicles in real time has proven very efficient in terms of customer satisfaction and retention.

This can be facilitated through the Proof of Location, proof of verification and proof of identification. These consensus on the Blockchain Facilitates the execution of a transport transaction on the smart contract.

Few weeks back, Mr. Yaks, whose real name is undisclosed, ordered a television online. It took the space of 90 days before his order could get to him.( This is an unnecessarily long waiting period) and when he eventually received it, the television screen had cracked.

Due to a lack of decentralized tracking system, the point of crack on the television could not be traced in the supply chain, leaving the customer utterly dis-satisfied.

A transport system on the Blockchain would have easily identified the point where the crack occurred. This relieves the customer and saves them from any back and forth as accurate information is provided on the Blockchain.

Payments for transport related services on the Blockchain are cheap, fast and have a higher level of security than what is obtainable in TradFi through smart contracts and smart contract calls that automatically execute a certain action when all needs have been met.

In addition, with the payment infrastructure built on the Blockchain, individuals and organizations can easily book and Pay for transport bookings like the train ticket or air ticket on the Blockchain. Growth in GDP

Of course, everything we do is linked to growth. GDP is short for Gross Domestic Product. It is the monetary value of all finished goods and services made within a country during a specific period .

Technology itself has aided our lives. Lets squeeze it into the era of web1.0, web2.0 and web3.0 respectively and all that has been built in these web ages that aided in making our lives easier and even pleasurable.

Who in the 80s would have imagined that people could send in money across countries with different time zones in less than 20min. Making payments for different products and services through different payment infrastructures and gateways. Things like these could only be dreamt of.

International Trade has been facilitated through the means of wiring money across banks for importation, exportation and general trading activities which in turn helps to boost the per capita income of a nation

In the words of Lain McNicoll we have an increasing amount of solutions, beyond payment methods. This means that payment infrastructures need to be upgraded as quickly as possible to be able to Facilitate global solutions on ground

A PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE

Payment infrastructure is simply that technological support used in transmitting financial or monetary values between two or more parties. An infrastructure that improves the way money is being sent and received, especially allowing large volumes of money to and fro parties per time.

Making and receiving payments have become the life blood and sustainable factor for every economy, because value must be measured and passed from one person to another.

Payment infrastructures are what enhances the use of technology, if not, how would we send and receive payments for a product across different locations. When Lian McNail talked about upgrading our payment infrastructure I could only imagine what TransFi’s Proof of Location(POL) and TransFi payment gateway combined together will provide to the world. PUMPED, but let’s keep moving!

THE OLD

The traditional payment infrastructure gave us hope in terms of payments. They are like our forefathers and we must by all means recognize the good they brought in their time. With the old payment infrastructure we could see that the world is interconnected hence the term “Global Village”

The old was predominated by cash(fiat) or credit payments, then came money transfers, allowing money to be transferred from one bank to another.

This system became slow and unable to catch up to current global needs. It didn’t necessarily become slow per say, it just couldn’t meet up to speed and current global demands in terms of money interactions.

Transferring money from one bank in the US to another bank somewhere in Africa could take at least 2–3 days. This is obviously a drawback.

Thankfully, some payment gateways, like Paypal emerged; these payment gateways helped to speed up transaction time thereby serving as an improvement to what was generally attainable.

However, there is one missing factor, Decentralization.

THE NEW: TRANSFI .

Decentralization is the new structure on which TransFi payment infrastructure is built upon. Transfi payment infrastructure is like an entire payment ecosystem. Transactions are being carried out through crypto tokens such as TransFi’s $TFI. All Transport related products and services are being transacted through this solution. Businesses are looking for a means to host, run, and process payments faster and efficiently.

Before TransFi surfaced, there have been other Payment infrastructure built on the decentralized web also known as the Blockchain technology. Bitcoin is a payment infrastructure where payments of goods and services can be done. Other Blockchain payment infrastructure such as Ethereum Blockchain and the Binance smartchain where transactions are carried through a smart contract call

Businesses in the transport sector would experience seamless transactions, exchanges and collaborations amongst each other, thereby fostering B2B relationships. TransFi payment infrastructure would put an end or drastically reduce the chaos experienced in the supply chain of the transport sector. Truck owners Vs retail vendors will have an open and decentralized system where all of their transactions and activities are being permanently recorded, without any form of administrative or structural error.

Not to sound all Messaic, but the TransFi payment ecosystem will increase efficiency in B2B.

Speaking about the ecosystem, TransFi is not limited to exchanging $TFI tokens alone but also other tokens in the crypto space, it is a free multi crypto payment ecosystem where other tokens are exchanged and even swapped into any currency of your choice from across the world.

Imagine governments adopting blockchain into the transport sector with that govt or central authority endorsement, this would scale up a lot of things including acceptance, adoption and economic progress.
The world is evolving and the transport sector is evolving towards better efficiency and speed. It is important to note that Transportation efficiency thrives on speed in addition, the blockchain technology needs no third party authentication, thereby cutting off unnecessary slowness caused by middlemen.

As promised, TransFi hosted an AMA session and we discussed a lot of benefits of the blockchain and Transportation system.
The meeting started with the introduction of Mr Bullish Tega as the Host and Mr Denton as the co-host. Mr Tega started by explaining the types of Transportation that exists and also explaining that Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change or hack.

Blockchain as it, is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems.

Mr Tega talked about how TransFi will be implementing airline booking into its ecosystem for those who love traveling by air.
Various questions were also asked around the blockchain and transportation system and how TransFi will be implementing such benefits.

Mr Tega emphasized that TransFi will implement payments infrastructural systems which users can literally make payments for their services.
TransFi is not only focused with their services alone.
The community in TransFi is also reaching out to a lot of network based protocols which will speed up the rate of various transactions across the systems..

(A network protocol is an established set of rules that determine how data is transmitted between different devices in the same network).

Mr Tega also talked about how TransFi will be integrating in their timeline various sectors that is building AI(Artificial Intelligence)

There are self-services carried out automatically by AI's so TransFi will be looking into that also.

With the explanation on Blockchain above, we understand that it is safe to transact with, due to its securities. Reasons why TransFi will build its own wallet to support not only $TFI payments but as well other crypto projects.
In addition, the TransFi wallet will not only be for payment services but will also integrate other services to ensure it is user-friendly.

What are those services?😃
Apart from Adoption, the TransFi will be adding another incentive to its wallet, this which involves staking crypto to earn rewards.

T: What is TransFI building,

D: The blockchain is essentially a distributed ledger for transactions and TransFi is leveraging the blockchain to solve problems from Payment disputes to logistics freight tracking to low-point entry to the transport industry with blockchain.

T: How do we improve functionality with TransFI

D: One way that we are doing so is through Crypto payment infrastructure. We are leveraging the public aspect of blockchain to make sure goods and services are easily transacted.
We are also increasing the adoption curve of crypto by introducing it into every aspect of Transport. We will introduce an SDK model for companies and even airline agencies.
In supply chains, We are creating an Uber-like platform for tracking logistics from buyers to sellers by incorporating TransFI SDK and protocols.

T: Do we have something similar to Moonpay and BitPay

D: We aren't like Moonpay and Bitpay that allows you people to buy crypto on their wallets but we still make use of some of the nature

T: Is it possible to have crypto payments embedded in self-driving vehicles to enable them to buy fuel and receive payments?

D: Basically yes and it has to do with Smart Contracts. There are AIs in place so it is possible to implement and integrate crypto payments, and the Smart Contract monitors everything from the battery to the fuel gauge and will tell the car when to get fuel. It will also have a mapping system to check its nearness to the fuel station. In trucking, Smart Contracts will enable self-driving trucks for easy logistics

T: Is there any option for holding crypto, swapping or trading?
D: It will be a full crypto infrastructure. The wallet will also be multi-gen supported to keep our community in the loop

T: WIll it be an exchange or will it be kept simple as possible

D: No comments at this time until the community votes for it. There will also be a stacking platform but that will also be voted by the community

T: What is the timeframe for this project?

D: We do not wanna rush because of the state of the market right now but we have a marketing timeline which is to start marketing this month but the date is uncertain

T: We have heard of products that allow zero barrier entry for people to own assets for as low as a Dollar. Can you give us a breakdown? Also what is Fractionalization

D: Before now, assets were only shared amongst the elite. But TransFI will release our protocols and products to allow fractionalization so that everyone in the community will have a share. Fractionalization is the concept of splitting ownership of something to allow people to receive benefits for it

The need for transparency and accountability is of paramount importance in the supply chain of goods and services. The lack of transparency in the supply chain network of the transport sector has proven problematic over time.
In the transport sector, Transparency ensures that accountability is expected, and when there is no accountability, there is a problem of mismanagement and inefficiency.

WHAT IS WEB3.0
We would like to refer to web3.0 as the successor of web2.0. It is commonly known as the decentralized web: the blockchain, which is the third and improved version of the internet. The web3.0 was created to solve the shortcomings of the web2.0 thereby giving people control over their own data.
The web3.0 will solve the problem of Transparency and accountability in the transport sector. Take a minute to imagine a web that is more user centered than developer centered. What this means is,there will be transparency, accountability and the high end security of your data.
Berners Lee emphasized that the new web has a few core concepts which are:

Openness
Greater User Utility

A lot of questions have popped up, inquiring how GameFi is going to work on TransFi. Well, we`ll tell you how.
Let us introduce you to what GameFi is, because you may have been hearing about GameFi but still not know exactly what GameFi is and its potentials. To start with, GameFi is the combination of the word “Gaming and finance” which when coined together gives us what we have today as “GAMEFI” it has the characteristics of DEFI, NFT and Gaming.

In a very simple term, GameFi is the act of playing games to earn rewards; in essence, it is the Blockchain monetization of gaming, play-to-earn (P2E). GameFi is very interesting to gamers because it is now a means for gamers to earn while doing what they love in their time of leisure-gaming!
The aim for players is to earn and not necessarily to win like the traditional model of gaming which is play-to-win.

HOW GAMEFI WORKS
Unlike our traditional gaming system, GameFi is more player-centric than developer-centric in the sense that rewards goes to the player instead of the game developer(s).
In the traditional gaming system, players pay some amount of money to buy more lives, unlock new characters, or buy a more sophisticated weapon in order to have an advantage over an opposing player. All these payment goes straight to the pockets of the game developer(s). The only reward gotten by the player is the entertainment and thrill in playing the game. However, With GameFi the reward model changes in favour of the gamer; the reward becomes entertainment+ income.

GAMEFI ON TRANSFI?
Having understood what GameFi is, the next question would be the relationship between GameFi and TransFi.
TransFi is building a GameFi ecosystem where users can connect with other users and play games on the TransFi gaming ecosystem.
With this TransFi will be aiming for two wins using one slingshot that is; TransFi will be connecting and bringing users together and giving each the chance to play and earn.

The gaming industry is worth over 1 billion dollar, it has attracted over 13% of all investments in Blockchain since its inception in 2017 and rapidly growing. The future and potential of GameFi is a very positive one as it is beginning to experience mainstream adoption and acceptance.
The re-modification of Gaming has made GameFi a thing that has come to stay as it empowers gamers with P2E opportunity. Statista records that the population of Gamers globally as at 2020 is over 2.77 billion people. With the P2E model these gamers will be fully drawn to GameFi.
It is such a huge market and TransFi is taking steps in it. This is going to be a first-mover advantage as the industry is still new, yet fast rising.

In the traditional gaming system, tokens could not be used outside the gaming environment and had no real- life value. On GameFi, tokens earned have real life value and application unlike traditional gaming. For instance, $TFI earned while gaming can be used to pay for your transport services and other general payments outside of Transport. Tokens earned can also be sold on exchanges to get fiat. Now this is super interesting!

GameFi is currently a source of income to people. Some Gamers in the Philippines are already leveraging on GameFi as an extra source of income.

We kick things of with our host, Kristine introducing herself and then members of the TransFi team present

Mr. Denton was asked to talk about the TrasnFi project in brief and he did so starting with the solutions the products been built would bring which included payment merchant, tokenization, decentralized booking platform and more.

He went ahead to talk about the POL and POV protocol of the TransFi project.

After this Mr. Robert introduced himself and the AMA session was officially open. The first question came from Mr. Thiago which was on the tokenomics and TransFi wallet.
