This month brought exciting progress for Atlas Grace! We received a Tier 2 Super Phoenix Dao Data Cube NFT donation, opening up future funds through staking and diversifying our assets to the broader Star Atlas ecosystem. All of our scholars have now advanced to Tier 3 starter packs. We also kicked off free design lessons with two scholars putting their new found skills to practical use, and one scholar secured a web3 job through our community connections. There’s much to celebrate, so let’s dive into this month’s highlights!

Star Atlas Fleet Report

The fleet now comprises 288 ships and 27 Claim Stakes. With the current game style being Hydrogen mining, we switched some of our Mamba Ex’s our for an Armstrong IMP Tip & Tap for more efficiency. We were also able to add one more Tier 1 Claim Stake to the mix. The core fleet of ships mining in Sage Labs allows us to pay for the running costs of our new location as well as save for some equipment like desks, chairs & hopefully computers in the future.

Of the 288 ships currently owned by Atlas Grace, 67 of these are now in the hands of our budding Scholars.

Donation Report

With the sell pressure from FTX liquidators, the prices of $ATLAS and $POLIS continued on a down trend this month compared to the previous months. Nevertheless, we still managed to raise $33.21 for charity. In the later months of this year, we should see the bull run start to take shape where we should see higher $POLIS prices and thus also larger donations made each month. We are fast approaching a total of $1'000 USD raised for charities since our monthly donations started in 2023.

We used the Twitter X poll from the previous month as it was a pretty close decision in the end and wanted to give voice to everyone that voted. We also think that the Ugandan Water Project is a pretty worthy cause. They exist to see Uganda as a nation liberated from the bondage of water-borne disease and poverty as communities leverage the transformative power of clean water to empower all people to live the lives they were created for.

Scholarship Program

For those following our expanding Scholarship program, we welcomed our sixth scholar last month. We have reached our capacity to onboard more scholars for now, but will continue to compound our growth and hopefully expand in the coming months.

We’ve been excited to start our free design lessons at the Atlas Grace center here in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Two of our scholars joined us this month learning new skills in Adobe illustrator. Our Scholar Voan showing particular interest as he needs to design a logo for his local village outreach program. In the coming weeks he will create a social media page and share some of the amazing work he is doing to improve the lives of his fellow Khmer people. Stay tuned for more on this in next month’s report.

Lastly our Scholar Johm has secured a moderator role with the beloved Puri On Solana project. This is hopefully the begining of many connections that we can make for the Scholars here to earn on the global stage. These opportunities bring them out from Cambodia’s current economic issues and begins to showcase the amazing hard work and talent that the Khmer people have to offer.

This month has been filled with incredible progress and new additions for Atlas Grace! We welcomed our 6th Scholar, Pheap, to the program, while our scholars sharpened their flying skills on our HOTAS setup. We received a generous gift of a Super Phoenix Dao DATA Cube NFT to our wallet, and Scholar Voan put his graphic design lessons to good use by creating a logo for his community project. Plus, our fleet expanded with the addition of seven Vzus Solos. There’s so much more to share, so let’s dive into this month’s highlights!

The fleet now comprises 290 ships and 26 Claim Stakes, adding 7 more Vzus Solos to the mix. The core fleet of ships mining in Sage Labs allows us to pay for the running costs of our new location as well as save for some equipment like desks, chairs & hopefully computers in the future.

A Twitter X poll was posted to the Star Atlas community and with 27 votes, with this month’s beneficiary being Free The Girls who work with survivors of sex trafficking to help them answer the question of “What next?”

The charities shown in the poll were found from an extensive list of organization listed on The Giving Block website that accept crypto donations to hundreds of charities around the world.

Free The Girls’ mission lies beyond exiting interventions or acute aftercare; they are dedicated to addressing key causes of vulnerability — isolation and poverty — that often led to exploitation in the first place. It’s foundation lies in providing tools and opportunities for survivors as they rise above poverty, paving their path to financial freedom while building a strong social support network, granting them the capacity to earn a sustainable livable wage while they focus on all others areas of healing. With over 13 years of experience in this field, they’ve learned to be adaptable and responsive to the unique needs of different communities and that each woman is unique in how she defines success. This allows them to co-create programs with the women and find innovative solutions that work within their lived context, ensuring they can regain control of their life but also that the next generation are able to break cycles of poverty and isolation in creative, sustainable, and generative ways.

Scholarship Program

For those following our expanding Scholarship program, we welcomed a new scholars into our ranks this month! Pheap currently resides in Siem Reap and joins us every week to learn all things Star Atlas. Pheap has now set up the auto-miner tool with his fleets in SAGE labs.

Pheap has a dream to build his family a home on a small piece of land outside the city. Which will require some careful planning on what he’s able to build. He is excited to learn some 3D design in our center which well help him to visualize, cost out and plan his next steps. We are extremely excited to share this knowledge with our Scholars and can’t wait to see the physical application of these skills transfered into their lives.

We also set up our HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick) system at the Atlas Grace center. We are still waiting on support for this to be used within the Star Atlas game, but the Scholars had fun playing other HOTAS supported space games. This was a new experience for them all, and there was a lot of laughs as they wrestled the controls for the first time.

Exciting times are upon us at Atlas Grace this month! We’ve opened our new physical location in Siem Reap, Cambodia, providing a vibrant hub for our community. Our scholars have been busy creating amazing Star Atlas content, and we’re thrilled to introduce our newest member, Chhoengka. We’ve also reached a major milestone with 50 million R4 harvested from gifted claim stakes and received over $1,200 USD gifted to the wallet. There’s so much more to explore, so let’s jump in!

Star Atlas Fleet Report

The fleet now comprises 283 ships and 26 Claim Stakes. That’s an additional 43 ships since our last fleet report! This was largely due to a big pledge from Star Atlas community members after hearing the updates from Atlas Grace during the community brew. This allowed us to purchase a few more ships for the core fleet currently mining in SAGE labs. This core fleet allows us to pay for the running costs of our new location as well as save for some equipment like desks, chairs & hopefully computers in the future.

Of the 283 ships currently owned by Atlas Grace, 55 of these are now in the hands of our budding Scholars, each receiving tiered fleet packs as they progress through the education program.

Scholarship Program

For those following our expanding Scholarship program, we welcomed a new scholars into our ranks this month! Chhoenka currently resides in the capital Phnom Penh over 6 hours from our center in Siem Reap, however he’s able to join once a week via video call and has been patiently learning and setting up his fleets within SAGE labs. He recently activated the auto miner feature and is thrilled to see the progress thus far.

Chhoengka works for an organization that helps prevent the prevalent sex trafficking industry within Cambodia. He has a big heart and a big desire to see his country change. When he was first presented with Star Atlas, he immediately saw the benefits this could bring and is excited to learn and share more with friends.

Probably our biggest news to date would be the opening of our new location in Siem Reap, Cambodia!

Previously we were meeting up in local coffee shops once a week to escape the heat, enjoy cold beverages, and discuss all things Star Atlas. But the long term vision for Atlas Grace has always been to have a place to call our own, and in the first week of May we signed the lease to a small office space in the garden terrace of a coffee shop here in town.

The space is a humble 250 square feet of space, but just enough for us to get started. It’s now furnished with seating and a couple of desks which is open to the scholars as a free co-working space during the week. They can take advantage of the air-conditioning, wifi, free coffee, water and snacks we keep on hand. We also meet up as a group for our weekly brew which is a great time sharing ideas, theory crafting and discussing potential opportunities in and around the Star Atlas game.

This month we will start a weekly design workshop so stay tuned for updates on this very soon!

In April, Atlas Grace knocked over some more big milestones. Three new scholars joined our ranks, led by Scholar Johm, who quickly assumed a mentoring role. Scholarship Program

For those following our expanding Scholarship program, we welcomed three new scholars into our ranks this month! These scholars are long-time friends whom I have mentored for over a decade, ever since our first meeting at a boys’ home I ran. Now, they are benefiting from the incredible opportunities presented by Star Atlas, and I couldn’t be happier to work with them once again.

Every Wednesday, we host our Atlas Grace Brew, where we gather in local coffee shops to escape the heat, enjoy cold beverages, and discuss all things Star Atlas. As there is much to cover, we’ve been taking it slow, starting with staking an xx-small ship in the Faction Fleet and gradually transitioning into Starbased gameplay.

As the education progresses, so do the game assets available for scholars to use for free as they build up their knowledge and begin to compound their own fleets. All four scholars have now progressed to Tier 2 packs, which include an xx-small fleet, a Tier 1 Claim stake, R4, and some $SOL & $ATLAS to kickstart their journey.

Once they have amassed a substantial fleet of their own, the borrowed ships will be returned, allowing other scholars to benefit from the program.

We hope to bring more news from the Scholarship program next month!

It was quite the surprise seeing Atlas Grace nominated for a Joni last month. An even bigger surprise to see we had won! Especially given the fact that we were nominated along side giants of the game ( Galia Merchants & Galia Art Station ). It was a pretty emotional moment to say the least. I see this as a win for the whole community as this has far surpassed anything I could have achieved on my own. The project and the award really belong to the Star Atlas community.

We were also gifted a second trophy by non other than ODVB for his win as ‘Community Helper Of The Year’. During his epic acceptance speach he vowed to donated the trophy to Atlas Grace so that it could be auctioned and proceeds used to fund the cause. An auction was later held running for one week and was sold for $1'000 USDC to Njord from Heimdall Industries who is already a big supporter of Atlas Grace. With the funds raised we curated a few ‘Starter Packs’ for our future scholars.

Scholarship Program

Another exciting development is that the long awaited Atlas Grace scholarship program is now underway with our first Scholar ‘Johm’ joining the ranks!

What makes this really special is that Johm was one of the original boys from the home I once ran with my wife in Siem Reap a number of years ago. After returning to Cambodia I had the pleasure of meeting with the boys from the home. It was a long awaited reunion as I’d been living back in Australia for more than 6 years.

After sharing the vision for Atlas Grace, Johm rather than asking how he could benifit asked how he could help grow Atlas Grace and bring it to more Cambodians in need. With this attitude and heart for others, Atlas Grace will be unstoppable!

After a series of one-on-one catch-ups with Johm, educating him on self-custody, online safety, web3 gaming, and, of course, the basics of Star Atlas, he was gifted a ‘Starter Pack’ to begin earning and enjoying all that the game has to offer. A variety of tiers will be available for Scholars to strive towards. As they progress through their Star Atlas education, they will unlock higher-level tiers and start saving towards owning their own fleets. Once they have amassed a substantial fleet of their own, the borrowed ships will be returned, allowing other Scholars to benefit from the program.

We hope to bring more news from the Scholarship program next month!

Amidst the dynamic landscape of February, Atlas Grace witnessed a whirlwind of generosity and progress. From an anonymous Star Atlas community member’s remarkable donation of over 650 $POLIS to unlocking the doors to the coveted Foundation Room, the month was filled with pivotal moments. The expansion of our fleet with 30 new ships further bolstered our presence in the metaverse. Notably, the collaboration between the Star Atlas team and NeoSwap resulted in proceeds being donated to Atlas Grace through unique skin sales, amplifying our impact. Harvesting a total of 30 million R4 to date from donated claim stakes marked a significant milestone, while achieving official recognition as a DAC in the Star Atlas metaverse shows our growing influence. Moreover, as I relocated to Siem Reap, Cambodia, the search for a rental space is underway to establish Atlas Grace’s physical location, enabling free workshops, education, and job opportunities. Additionally, the honor of Atlas Grace being nominated for a Joni award highlights the love our community has for the work we are doing. Furthermore, the heartwarming gesture of a community member matching dollar for dollar donations, driving our mission forward. With the growth we’ve had in the past few months, I’d say it’s fairly certain that next month we’ll be celebrating 200 ships enlisted in our fleets. Having more ships enables us to participate in SAGE labs and compound our efforts. Once scholarships and ship lending go live, we can offer these resources for free to our scholars, enabling them to enter the game and start earning without any upfront costs. The aim is for them to eventually earn enough to purchase their own ships. The expansion of ships in the Atlas Grace fleet signifies the potential to support more scholars through the program. Alternatively, for the scholars already involved, it means access to larger fleets, accelerating their path to independence and allowing them to establish themselves in the Star Atlas metaverse.

The $ATLAS and $POLIS prices saw a nice pump towards the end of the month allowing us to earn even more for this months donation. We were quite happy with the total raised of $83.80 USDC. However as mentioned in the above, we were taken back by a member from the Star Atlas community who offered to match dollar for dollar our donations for the month. Our only request was that they helped choose the charity they’d like to see the funds go to.

This month, we had the honor of donating to Gamer’s Outreach, a charity that empowers hospitalized families through play. Their goal is to build a world where activity is easily prioritized as part of care. Video games are our tools of choice. They provide over 4.3 million gaming experiences in hospitals each year!

Finding this charity brought back some memories and a lot of tears. When I was younger, my sister was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease & as a family we had to travel to a regional hospital where she would stay months at a time for her treatment. I would be there with her, even going to school in the hospital. I made friends with the other kids in the children’s ward, most fighting Leukemia and other terminal illnesses. The thing that brought the most joy was on occasions they would wheel in a Sega Mega Drive or Super Nintendo for the kids to play. Seeing this first hand, I can say for sure that Gamer’s Outreach is making a HUGE difference in the quality of children’s lives. I am soo blessed that through Atlas Grace, we have the opportunity to lend support for this amazing cause.

Happy new year and welcome to Atlas Grace’s latest recap! This month, the spirit of giving took flight as we saw a mind blowing amount of $PURI coin gifts from our supportive community and Star Atlas team members. From donated ships to multiple asset acquisitions, compounded $POLIS, and an all time high charity fundraising month. We’ll also give a recap on 2023 so stick around as we unpack these meaningful milestones — let’s dive in!

With the inclusion of $PURI coins in our treasury, we’ve aimed to use them responsibly, avoiding any potential selling pressure on this newly established asset. One approach we’ve adopted is conducting over-the-counter (OTC) purchases of ships from other members within the Star Atlas community who wish to retain $PURI holdings. It has been remarkable to witness certain community members offering substantial discounts when learning that the acquisition is for Atlas Grace. Noteworthy among these purchases are a Fimbul BYOS Earp, Pearce X6, and even a Pearce F4, deviating from our usual strategy of stacking xx-small ships. The significance of these acquisitions means we now have an accelerated compound growth within SAGE labs and providing us with future possibilities. These options include potentially profitable resales of the larger ships, leasing them to the public for revenue generation, or retaining them for training scholars and rewarding high achievers.

This month, we had the honor of donating to Cambodian Children’s Fund, which is one of the largest NGO’s in Cambodia, and with good reason. CCF has helped more than 3,500 children and their families with a pathway out of poverty. They focus on education and building resilient young leaders which is paramount to ending the poverty cycle.

I had the privilege of visiting their education center in Phnom Penh and working on designs for a sustainable rooftop garden project and acoustic bamboo ceilings for their covered walkways. I hope to connect with them again in the future and look forward to seeing more of their amazing work in 2024.

2023 Recap

It’s been an amazing year for Atlas Grace to say the least. We started our monthly donations to charities using 50% of locker emissions. Grew our fleet over our target of 100 ships, gained more recognition from the Star Atlas community, and most importantly were able to raise more awareness for some incredible charities making real change in the world. We all talk about a fair, equal and inclusive web3 and our mission is to put that into practice!

If you haven’t already noticed, Star Atlas is pumping and this is great news for Atlas Grace. But we are just getting started and 2024 is set to be even bigger!

Starting off the month Star Atlas gave an incredible presentation at the Solana Breakpoint event in Amsterdam, showcasing some mind melting trailers of the upcoming UE5 Showroom 2.2 set to release very soon on the Epic Games store. Along side these updates were some other key products the team is looking to launch over the coming months that will help grow the player community and enhance the overall experience within the ecosystem.

The surprise and highlight of the presentation for us was when CEO of Star Atlas Michael Wagner gave a personal mention to the work Atlas Grace is doing.

Following Michael’s presentation, he then traveled to Southeast Asia, meeting with small gaming communities in Thailand, the Philippines, and Guam. From several Twitter posts (X), he expressed considerable excitement about the future of Star Atlas and Web3 gaming in the region, and understandably so. Southeast Asia holds one of the largest potentials for growth, and with a platform like Star Atlas operating on the Solana Blockchain, there’s a tremendous opportunity for these developing countries to benefit from this emerging ecosystem.

Star Atlas Fleet Report

The fleet now consists of 108 ships and 11 Claim Stakes. A regular gift of 420.69 $ATLAS has been consistently appearing in the Atlas Grace wallet every day this month from a generous community member. This generosity has enabled us to acquire a few more XX Small ships to supplement the fleet. Surpassing the 100-ship mark was indeed a significant milestone, as we had aimed to achieve this by the year’s end, and by early November, we reached our goal!

While the Claim Stakes remain in the Faction Fleet, the remaining ships are currently engaged in missions to mine Hydrogen in Sage Labs. This raw material is then refined into Fuel and sold on the Galactic Marketplace. Fifty percent of these sales are reinvested into the Atlas Locker, and the remaining fifty percent is converted into USDC and donated at the end of each month.

As another month wraps up for Atlas Grace, we’ve definitely noticed a change in the air. There’s a certain sense of excitement within the Star Atlas, Solana and broader Crypto community. Star Atlas is about to take the main stage at the Solana BreakPoint event in Amsterdam and more people are finding their way into the Star Atlas ecosystem, All helped along by a successful launch of Sage Labs by the team at ATMTA.

There’s also been a change in some of the day to day custodian duties of Atlas Grace. With R4 prices still climbing high, more and more ships are no longer profitable within Faction Fleet. The logical move was to remove those ships and find alternative ways to generate profits so that we still have a healthy amount to donate at the end of the month.

One possibility is to sell the ships and return the funds to the Atlas or Polis locker which would provide a more passive way to earn. However the goal for Atlas Grace is still to have 100 ships by years end. This will allow us to have a healthy amount of actual game assets to lend out for free once we can build out a physical location in Siem Reap Cambodia and invite the youth to the wonderful world of Star Atlas and have them learn, game, upskill and earn without the need for any upfront costs.

Being part of the amazing community of Star Atlas has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities to build within the web3 world. This is something I’m excited to share with disadvantage Khmer youth as they are some of the most talented, creative, hard working people I know. This is really something both they and the Star Atlas community will benefit from.

What’s Next For Atlas Grace?

We will continue to donate monthly to IRL charities using the Star Atlas Fleet & Locker staking rewards. The longer vision is to set up a physical location in Siem Reap Cambodia where teens & young adults can have a safe and fun environment to learn, game & make friends not only in their local area but online amongst THE BEST web3 gaming community out there.

As many of you may already know, Siem Reap is a place near and dear to my heart. I spent more than 5 years teaching, mentoring and building friendships and connections there. I hope to return in 2023 where I can once again continue this work, setting up gaming computers, holding free workshops and teaching financial literacy, 3D & graphic design and of course all things Star Atlas.
