On July 18th, we met with the MultiNFT CEO, Guy “Geridos” Goldenberg, for an AMA on our MultiNFT Discord and answered our community’s questions on renting land in the Metaverse.

Hi guys! Super excited to have all of you today! We are meeting with the MultiNFT CEO: Guy “Geridos” Goldenberg. The topic today is Renting land in the Metaverse. Something we at MultiNFT are very excited about and have been working on for some time now. Prepare your questions. We will be muting the chat but opening up again for questions afterward!

Geridos Welcome! How are you today?

Guy Goldenberg: Hey frens, doing excellent on this fine sunny day here in Spain currently.

I’m very excited about a lot of the unique features and updates we are about to unleash unto the world of web3.

Interviewer: Good to hear it! Let us start with the first question! So in case you didn’t know, MultiNFT has developed a module that enables the public to rent venues and different lands in the Metaverse using the $MNFT token! Renting land is just one of the many use cases for the $MNFT token. This will be our topic today; let us start with the first question.

Question 1

Why did you choose Decentraland? Will you expand the renting option to other metaverses?

Guy Goldenberg: When it came to which Metaverse should have been the first to launch on the rental module, Decentraland was an obvious choice due to its popularity and growing user base. We already saw success in Decentraland with the RAGE club and beforehand with “The Metaverse Festival” MultiNFT stage with almost 10k attendees. Also, it is the go-to platform for many projects out there we want to work with, some of which already had awesome parties there.

About expansion to other platforms — as you know, we have Metaverse lands in 11 Metaverse platforms, and we are constantly expanding and making test events to add them to the roster of rentable venues!

Interviewer: I love it. The team is all hand on deck on working with 11 Metaverse platforms. I can imagine it’s quite the handful!

Guy Goldenberg: Definitely, but we try to focus the efforts on 3–4 platforms at a time.

Question 2

Renting land is not as simple as paying and going inside… especially if you’re preparing the venue for specific events. So, what type of backend support do you offer for those renting from you?

Guy Goldenberg: Yes, it’s not simple, you said it — there is a process in making a good event, and it’s not a one-size fits all solution. This means that our team has to participate in a lot of the technical operations of setting up the venue for the event once it’s booked. Once a date has been chosen and a transaction in $MNFT has been submitted, our team uses the contact details provided at the time of booking to aid in the process. There is minimal backend access at this stage, but in the near future, renting will go completely permissionless without the need for team intervention and with a complete backend portal for all elements and mechanics to allow fully customizable events to take place without talking to any human.

Interviewer: That’s exciting; it’s good to know that the team will work closely with the party renting the space.

Question 3

Will I be able to see the rate structures for renting?

Guy Goldenberg: If you are referring to the pricing of each structure/event, then yes, and in regards to general ratings, you can find them on some Metaverse platforms if you look around-for example, Decentraland recommends you a few options to start from when you join. Right now, our RAGE club is one of the three suggested options.

Interviewer: One of the three? That’s an accomplishment in and of itself from such a large platform! Congrats guys.

Guy Goldenberg: Thanks, it sometimes comes and goes, but it is being recommended right now.

Question 4:

Are you planning on partnering with other platforms and renting out their venues in the future? Or will it stick to select MultiNFT-owned lands?

Guy Goldenberg: The rental module is intended for the ecosystem to thrive in general, with a core focus on quality events and VIP content. It is not within our agenda to create an open rental marketplace for lands from other owners, at least not at the moment. However, we do partner with other projects from time to time, and we might have unique festivals where more than one community participates, and that could include lands from outside the ecosystem. About renting those lands, we will have to wait and see.

Interviewer: Excited to see future partnerships; I think it’s exciting and helps all parties involved.

Question 5

How far in advance should we book a venue?

Guy Goldenberg: It depends on a few factors, but we recommend planning your event for at least a month or two in advance, mainly to allow time for marketing on your behalf as a party planner.

But the key factors derive from how well you know what you want in your event and if you already have some of it in your hands beforehand — for example, a DJ that you already booked or spoke with about his open dates.

On the other hand, a ready project with a community waiting to come to an event in masses might be able to launch a party in 3–4 days! But I would still recommend them taking at least a week in advance.

Interviewer: Interesting point about the DJ. It actually ties in with my next question.

Question 6

What changes can you make to the venue to best suit our event, and do you provide additional services (such as finding a DJ)?

Guy Goldenberg: Well, there are different tiers to what we offer when you rent, and we can help to customize just about everything except for the architecture of the building or major interior changes, but usually what is relevant are a few specific things such as video display or wall visuals, hanging NFTs for sale on the walls, setting up a PAOP for the event, and yes finding and booking a DJ or bands.

Interviewer: Awesome stuff! And I am sure the team is connected with some great DJs.

Question 7

Are the renting option only for public events? Are we able to hold private events?

Guy Goldenberg: There is a feature to make private events that are closed to the public altogether, and only certain addresses or usernames will be able to enter the club at the time of the event.

Interviewer: Sounds perfect for some worldwide parties to me! And exclusivity creates excitement.

Question 8:

What type of events do you think will take place in the club?

Guy Goldenberg: So far, we have seen mostly launch parties, private collection events, metaverse raves, and some conference after parties in our venues. But we believe there is a whole spectrum of events out there waiting to join from the retail side, which is now only learning how simple and unique it is to have your own Metaverse event! People are slowly learning to value “digital flex” over the familiar physical one. We expect everything from simple lifecycle events and parties to full-fledged institutional plays!

Interviewer: Indeed! The opportunities are limitless indeed!

What different renting packages are available?

Guy Goldenberg: Packages mainly differ on the slot (weekend or not), if you want to actively advertise NFTs or other assets for sale during the event, and some other small options such as PAOP set up, etc.

Is the renting option available to anybody? Or only DeFi platforms? Really excited, by the way!

Guy Goldenberg: Renting is available for ANYONE!

Community Question 3

I read on your Medium that there will be wearables and similar for these events. What type of exclusive wearables will there be?

Guy Goldenberg: Without sharing too much secret sauce from what’s coming up next: skins, clothing, multiverse items-all of which give either access to unique events or some other special added benefit.

Community Question 4

Where did you come up with the idea of renting your platform?

Guy Goldenberg: Renting is not new and not even in the Metaverse. Our idea came to life with the demand for proper event-ready stages! It was a team effort, and one of our advisors (an ex-MTV guy) said we should go for it initially!

One last question, how do we send payments of MNFT to rent if the token isn’t listed yet?

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Connect your wallet to MultiNFT.io

Once you open the multinft.io website, your wallet should automatically pop up for the sign-in (we currently support both MetaMask and WalletConnect).

If the wallet doesn’t pop up, you can click “Connect Wallet” at the top right corner of the screen. You will first need to buy the MNFT token if you haven’t already. We have a guide for buying MNFT here.

2. Navigate to the “Nightclubs” page and choose a venue and a package.

We have a variety of packages available to choose from. Each package has its own perks. We have a variety of options for you to choose from, such as:

• Featuring on the MultiNFT homepage
• Advertising the event on our social media.
• Listing the event on the Decentraland website
• Exclusive NFT wearables
• And more!

3. Submit the MNFT payment.

Once you’ve made your selections, we will have a breakdown of costs and provide a transaction ID. You will need to submit the payment using MNFT.

4. Confirm Your Details

Once the payment has been confirmed, you need to leave the details regarding your event and fill out the provided form. This will help us prepare the venue for you!

5. Wait for MultiNFT to contact you!

The MultiNFT will contact you to finalize the details and coordinate the technical components and expectations. We want you and your guests to have a great time during the event, so we will work with you to create the venue you need!

Why should you rent land in the Metaverse?

The Metaverse has unlocked multiple opportunities across multiple industries. In 2021, the Metaverse was an $800 billion market opportunity. Twenty years ago, the internet was seen as “just a phase,” while it, in fact, it was the door to the future, changing everybody’s lives around the world. This is the Metaverse now. We are in the beginning phases of the future. The opportunity to rent space in the Metaverse is going to be a massive industry; here are just a few use cases:

Concerts and Events

In 2019, Fortnite held the first-ever virtual concert. This was an immediate hit, as Marshmallow entered the stage with an audience of 10.2 million people. The concert’s success sparked something special as multiple artists realized the possibilities of what is possible in the virtual world. In the following months, shows were held in other virtual worlds. Although Fortnite is not a Metaverse, companies looking into the Metaverse have a new vision.

As the pandemic hit in 2020, the world learned a lot about virtual worlds, as their own world was confined to just a room. As a result, artists have found a new way to reach their audience — the Metaverse. Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Marshmello, Travis Scott, and many more artists have performed in the Metaverse. Work Meetings and Business Branches

In a blog by Bill Gates, he wrote, “Within the next two or three years, I predict most virtual meetings will move from 2D camera image grids … to the Metaverse, a 3D space with digital avatars. The idea is that you will eventually use your avatar to meet with people in a virtual space that replicates the feeling of being in an actual room with them.”

Recently, a Swedish company has looked into opening a branch in the Metaverse. As a result, receptionists, tellers, and consultants, no longer need to work over a frustrating phone call but can instead enjoy a person-to-person conversation within the Metaverse.

This is just one of the many doors that open when we understand that we do not need to rent out a building to conduct business, instead we can rent virtual real estate for a lower price and provide a much more accessible space in the Metaverse. Adding AR to this reality adds an entirely new aspect to factories, but that’s a subject for another day.

In April 2022, we attended the Non-Fungible Conference that took place in Lisbon. A two-day event filled with talks, panels, workshops, and experiences that bring together artists, projects, platforms, collectors, and investors from the global NFT community.

The conference was exceptional, with 2500+ attendees and over 100 talks and panels. We met up and had in-depth discussions with multiple platforms with the same focus; Let’s make the Metaverse great!

Right in the center of Decentraland, the Rage nightclub is now open 24/7! Every Saturday, MultiNFT hosts a Rage event at the center stage of MultiNFT’s Rage nightclub. The MultiNFT revolution that made it easier for users all over the world to participate in rage festivals, allowing them to rage together through the metaverse.

If you are wondering what a “Rage” is, the urban dictionary explains that to take part in a Rage is to “To party extremely hard: Excessive drinking, taking of pills, boozing or any combination of the three. Making it impossible to remember the previous night.”

The Rage Nightclub is in the middle of the Festival District of Metaverse Live Music Events within DecentraLand at location -70, 82.

CryptoVoxels

We recently opened up a new MultiNFT club at CryptoVoxels! Cryptovoxels is a fantastic virtual world and metaverse, powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Players can buy land and build stores and art galleries. Users can enter our new world in their browser to check it out! But we suggest a VR setup for the best experience.

We decided to bring a lot of character to this RageVox club by adding Easter eggs, NFTs, and creating a chilled-out atmosphere! The club consists of two floors. The lower floor is a chillout area with softer music and an art gallery. Upstairs is where the parties happen.

The RageVox Club floor feels just like your home club, with a bar and a dancefloor that is so easy to immerse yourself into. To the side is a stage for DJs to play some tunes. However, it is the dancefloor where things are going to get wild!

The Somnium Space is still in beta. But we see its potential within the Metaverse! It checks off our boxes as a well-built virtual reality realm built off of the Ethereum blockchain. The concept is not new, but Somnium is sure to grow into one of the biggest metaverse worlds.
