            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The current iteration of Cymorph introduces a significant feature, crafting a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP). In this version, users can effortlessly upload their 2D passport-style selfies to the system, allowing them to create their 3D avatars without the need for any creative input. The primary workload is efficiently managed by the Cymorph AI algorithm. This AI engine thoroughly analyzes the 3D selfie and constructs a highly realistic 3D representation of the user, utilizing facial structure data extracted from the uploaded image. Following the avatar’s generation, users gain the option to personalize their avatar’s facial features through dedicated modules for eyes, eyebrows, lips, and ears. Additionally, users have the flexibility to customize their clothing, accessories, shoes, and more, enabling them to achieve their desired appearance.</p><p>The current version of Cymorph operates directly <a href="http://app.cymorph.com/">within a web browser</a> and can be accessed by registering with an email address. Before delving into the avatar creation process, let’s take a closer look at the software’s user interface (UI) layout.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*7DUjWwRypJyXJCHRRY96kQ.png" /><figcaption><em>Figure 1: Redesigned UI of Cymorph v 2.0</em></figcaption></figure><p>The user interface (UI) consists of three main sections: the upper tab, the right tab, and the editing window.</p><p><strong>Upper Tab:</strong></p><p>In the upper tab, users can perform several functions. They can select the overall color scheme of the UI using a color picker. They also have the option to preview their avatar and save it. Additionally, users can access all their saved avatars. Please note that the share function is not available in this version as it is currently in a closed beta stage.</p><p><strong>Right Tab:</strong></p><p>The right tab is divided into five menus:</p><ol><li><strong>Start Menu:</strong> This is where users begin the process of creating their avatar.</li><li><strong>Face Menu:</strong> The Face menu provides various tools for editing facial features, including eyes, nose, ears, lips, and eyebrows.</li><li><strong>Avatar Menu:</strong> In the Avatar menu, users can select clothing, shoes, tattoos, glasses, beards, and more to customize their avatars.</li><li><strong>AI Prompts Menu:</strong> While this menu is still in development and not fully functional, users currently, can access premade animations to preview their 3D models. In the future, this menu will support text input for AI prompts that generate 3D models based on user descriptions. We also will add AI chat support so that users can talk with their avatars. Details about this feature can be found in the roadmap section of this whitepaper.</li><li><strong>Scenery Menu: </strong>The Scenery menu is also under development and will offer a selection of preset backgrounds for avatars. These backgrounds will also be compatible with AI prompts.</li></ol><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*baWgcDwgi-jqKbuWww5KKA.png" /><figcaption>Figure 2: Start Menu</figcaption></figure><p>Users initiate the process of creating their 3D avatars by uploading a 2D image, similar to a passport photo. Before uploading, they must choose the preferred style for their avatar, selecting between a masculine or feminine look. Currently, clothing and other assets are distinct for each style. In the future, we plan to merge them into a unified menu, offering filtering options for convenience. However, for the present version, this approach provides the most optimal solution.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*UfFcgfWrjaTnwP0iwPq0PA.png" /><figcaption>Figure 3: Generated 3D Avatar</figcaption></figure><p>Upon successfully uploading an image, our AI algorithm promptly crafts a 3D avatar, typically within 10 seconds, without requiring any creative input from the user. Users can then proceed to customize their avatar’s facial features by navigating to the “Face” menu and selecting the desired edits.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*WViAJJ6Qw_Hl1cOq8e-glg.jpeg" /><figcaption>Figure 4: Different options for editing facial features</figcaption></figure><p>Each facial feature in our system is equipped with simple sliders that allow users to adjust their size. After previewing, users can save their avatars for convenient access during future sessions. There is no restriction on the number of avatars a user can create.             <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The beginning of last year was eventful in that we realized what modern AI, Dall-E can do to revolutionize how humans do art. Quickly there were many articles, videos, explainers and social media posts about how amazing or dangerous this new technology is. No matter which group you are in artificial intelligence-powered tools are not going anywhere in fact, they will continue to improve with unprecedented speed.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*039bw6ASWAQsXfUcaOdFjw.png" /><figcaption>Art created by Midjourney</figcaption></figure><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*X-fFqWTDCDXO_AGFYuHm0w.jpeg" /></figure><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*fA-7Ka9UIebbD4Ry2sjhfA.jpeg" /><figcaption>Art created by Dall-E</figcaption></figure><p>Towards the end of the year, we saw another AI innovation that had the same effects on the public eye even more so dramatically. ChatGPT proved that AI can creatively answer complex questions and create articles, essays, scripts and even whole stories. People who wanted to utilize this technology realized that this tool can be added to their workflow after extensive experimentation. There is no doubt next year will also be a very eventful year for AI innovations considering the exponential growth of this technology.</p><p>At the current stage of AI, we can safely assume that Dall-E and Midjourney will perfect their algorithms and become the go-to tool for art creation. ChatGPT on the other hand possibly will be the most used AI text generation tool.</p><p>The one technology that is needed and does not yet exist is AI-powered 3D model generators. Our team is working to fill this gap by delivering a service that can create 3D avatars quickly using AI. This problem, however, is more challenging than 2D image creation (Dall-E) considering the 3D models have more complex surfaces. Nevertheless, because the textures on 3D models are usually saved as 2D images with enough time given it is possible to train the AI optimized for 3D avatar textures and bodies.</p><p>At this stage of our software (Cymorph 3D), we can easily turn 2D selfies into 3D realistic models. The AI simply identifies the eyes, nose, cheeks and all other facial structures from the image then creates a texture file and paints the 3D model using the shades, shadows and many more details from the picture. As a result, we can get very realistic output. Of course, this won’t be the only thing the software does. The utility of such a tool would be vast.</p><p>We strongly believe the year 2023 will be the year of AI-based tools.             <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The growth of blockchain gaming is accelerating by the day. This gaming sector stands as one of the most promising applications of cryptography, poised to attract millions of users into the ecosystem. Games have demonstrated resilience, proving recession-proof, as people consistently engage in gaming regardless of prevailing economic conditions.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*NFIJj0qqeAHoQwqYB3bfgw.png" /><figcaption>The global video gaming revenue graph shows the YoY growth continued to climb even during recessions (red)</figcaption></figure><p>Blockchain gaming enables users to own and trade their assets on the blockchain which traditional games are failing to do. In most traditional games you cannot truly own the assets; the ownership belongs to the gaming company. NFTs and gaming tokens on the blockchain give ownership of the assets to the users. However, interoperability among different games still remains challenging even though it is theoretically possible.</p><p>There are many games with different dynamics and mechanics. Creating seamless interoperability between two different types of games is still challenging. Almost all games design their avatar and asset generation systems from the ground up. This, naturally, is money intensive and takes considerable time for the developers. Moreover, because every avatar generation system is built separately, interoperability of the assets created with these systems becomes a daunting task. So, having one avatar generation mechanism that all games can use and integrate into their systems is a perfect solution to the above-mentioned problems.</p><p>Our team at Cymorph 3D has been trying to build this solution for several years already. Interoperable avatar generation software that can be utilized by blockchain games using simple SDK and API will make interoperability easy. Developers can download the SDK and use simple API calls to create different types of NFT avatars and import them into their games. This will clearly will reduce their workload because they won’t have to create their own avatar generation solution. Teams can focus on the gameplay and leave the avatar generation to us.</p><figure><img alt="" src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1024/1*YsehvyKcxcJm_Hqt1bpXPg.png" /><figcaption>A screenshot from Cymorph 3D</figcaption></figure><p>Having one decentralized solution for avatar generation also will make interoperability simple. Currently, games trying to utilize the blockchain for interoperability of their in-game assets have to coordinate the differences, and parameters of the avatars among themselves which lead to unnecessary complexity. Having one set of standards for avatars that different games use will enable users directly upload their assets from one game to another without worrying about the loss of “experience” and functionality.</p><p>Our team already built the 2D to 3D realistic avatar generation mechanism. After users upload their 2D selfies software can create the 3D avatar within seconds. This AI-powered system will be extremely useful for metaverse projects considering the avatars used in those projects tend to be “human-like”.
