Yes, Metro has been battle-tested in closed beta and is powered by the same SwapKit SDK+API as THORSwap. Please be aware that all transactions are on mainnet and uses real funds.

Q: How can I give feedback on Metro?

Q: Can I import my Keystore file to create a Metro Wallet?
Yes! Infact this is the core of our design with Metro’s native embedded wallet, it combines the self-custodial security of Keystore with the convinience of one-time setup.

Q: Can I use the same Metro wallet on mobile?
You can indeed, unlock your Metro wallet on desktop browser, then click … Settings > Transfer Wallet and authenticate to continue. Follow the instructions, enter a temporary password to generate a temporary transfer link or QR code which you can scan on mobile.

Visit Metro.exchange on mobile browser, and choose Get Started > Import to sync your Metro Wallet. Once you have it set up, you should be good to go every time! (your key is encrypted and saved locally on your device).

What Are Rapid Swaps?

Remember THORChain Streaming Swaps (aka Price Optimized Swaps)? They broke large trades into smaller “sub-swaps” executed over time, allowing arbitrageurs to rebalance the liquidity pools between each block. This gave traders better pricing than dumping everything in one block, but it came at a price of longer time frame for execution:

Rapid Swaps supercharges this process by executing multiple sub-swaps per block instead of waiting for block intervals between each one:

Note:

1. Rapid Swaps does not affect the network speed of underlying blockchains i.e. 1 Bitcoin network block confirmation time is still roughly ~10+ mins.
2. THORChain Rapid Swaps currently supports up to 2 sub-swaps per block. This is configurable, and can be scale higher in the future.
3. Rapid swaps does not affect THORChain outbound delays, the time a swap is streaming is still counted against the outbound delay. See here for more information.

Think of THORChain Streaming Swaps like sipping a drink slowly instead of chugging it, you get better “taste” (price) by giving the market time to adjust between sips.

Q: Does this work for all chains?

  A core goal is to provide a unified, intuitive staking experience. $USDC rewards and $METRO auto-compounding will be combined into one streamlined staking contract.
• Utility
  Utility is at the core of the new token design. As one of the most mature DeFi tokens with real utility and yield, $METRO will continue $THOR’s track record while also unlocking new embedded use cases designed for deeper participation in the Metro app, reinforcing a native flywheel between product usage and token demand.

2026 Execution Roadmap: What’s Shipping When

2026 will be a year of building and shipping for THORSwap. We have laid out a very ambitious roadmap ahead, and it all starts with the launch of THORSwap V3 (upgrade core swap engine + embedded Metro wallet) and Metro from Open Beta to full launch.

January — March:

Q1 will be focused on expanding much-requested core user-centric feature sets such as Fiat on/off ramps, portfolio page and improving onboarding, language support, affiliate program and more. $THOR migration to $METRO is being actively developed and targeted for end of Q1/early Q2.

April — June:

Q2 will be focused on go-to-market products and strategies. This includes shipping updates to improve user experience (stablecoin swaps, improved portfolio etc) as well as marketing and engagement features such as a new loyalty programme and missions designed to onboard new and reward experienced users alike.

June — September:

Q3 will see the beginnings of new DeFi integrations and advanced order types (DCA, Limit Orders) and more. We also plan on launching support for features such as Lending, Yield and Prediction Markets.

September — December:

Q4 will see the full maturity of Metro as we launch a native mobile app designed to onboard a new userbase and allow existing users to take the same powerful DeFi SuperApp experience on the go. We also intend to ship improvements DEX aggregation routing and add support for Gas Abstraction, Privacy features, Perpetuals and more.

By year-end, THORSwap had processed $1.28B in total volume across four major cross-chain providers:

March, May, October and November were standout months with volumes exceeding $130M.

Beyond raw volume metrics, 2025 saw THORSwap’s evolution into a true cross-chain aggregator, supporting THORChain, Chainflip, Maya Protocol and our new provider: NEAR Intents.

THORChain

Over the course 2025, THORChain remained our reliable, Bitcoin-native backbone, contributing to 51.6% of total volume. Thanks to the innovative streaming swap feature, THORChain allowed our users to continue executing large size swaps reliably with maximum capital efficiency.

NEAR Intents

Stealth-launched in June and officially announced in October, NEAR Intents transformed how THORSwap executes cross-chain swaps. By leveraging intent-based execution through decentralized solver networks, we enabled access to new exciting chains and deep liquidity for our users.

Total NEAR Intents Volume (Jun–Dec) amounted to $300M representing 23.5% of THORSwap annual volume in less than 7 months of integration.

The October-November surge is particularly significant: $164.2M in two months (54.8% of NEAR Intents’ annual total) coincided with the integration of Zcash. This correlation proves intent-based execution found product-market fit precisely when users needed access.

Chainflip

In 2025, Chainflip progressively became a steady pillar for THORSwap, providing consistent, reliable volume growth with institutional undertones. In Q1, we shipped support for Chainflip DCA (Streaming Swaps), which allowed for an improvement in capital efficiency.

Chainflip protocol has spent the year focused on improving underlying technology and liquidity depth. This saw a positive growth in Q4: $92.65M in Oct-Nov combined (33% of Chainflip’s annual volume in two months) signals improved and reliable quotes and execution.

Maya Protocol

In 2025 Maya Protocol was the first to ship Zcash cross-chain support. Opening the doors to native $ZEC swaps from Bitcoin and Ethereum for the first time. Alongside NEAR Intents, this provided a steady source of liquidity for traders of all sizes eager to swap Zcash in a decentralized manner.

Jupiter Exchange

Q3 also saw the integration of Jupiter Exchange, the leading DEX on Solana bringing the addition of thousands of long-tail assets. This lay the foundation for further improvements to cross-chain DEX aggregation in the future.

Protocol Maturity and Enhanced Tokenomics

2025 was a breakthrough year for THORSwap’s tokenomics, validating the platform’s business model and proving that cross-chain DeFi can generate meaningful, sustainable rewards for stakers and liquidity providers.

With $5.42 Million in fees generated through swaps, we demonstrated both the scale of cross-chain activity and the health of our reward mechanics.

What is OP Mainnet/Optimism?

Launched in 2021, Optimism was created to address the scaling challenges faced by Ethereum mainnet. Despite’s high security, the Ethereum network can be slow and expensive as it processes every transaction and stores every piece of data.
