This is probably the most frequently asked question on Instagram by my followers. Everyone wants their account to grow quickly on social media platforms, be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social site. But today I am going to share my 4years of experience on “How I Gained 100K Organic Followers on Instagram”. So, let’s get straight to it.

Username

This is the most important step if you want to start an effective Instagram account, specifically if it’s a brand or a company. Make sure you pick a short, unique, and interesting username. It is better to settle for a slightly less interesting and less famous username than to add numeric numbers or symbols to it. The symbols and numbers make the username look very unprofessional. Also, check if the username you are going to select is available on other platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Because if one day you want to expand to other platforms, you won’t face any problems. So give a little thought to it and choose wisely.

Bio

The next step is to update your bio. The bio provides a first impression of your account to any random visitor. Make sure it is short and gives an overview or description of your account or business.

Profile Picture

Your profile picture should always be attractive. If you are a business brand, it can be your logo. If you are a public figure or an artist, it can be your picture.

Now that you have created an Instagram account, let’s discuss how you can make your account effective and gain followers organically.

Story Interactions

If you want to be an effective Instagrammer, you should try to know your followers as much as you can. Put an “ask a question” story once in a while to help your followers know you better. The more they get to know you, the more they will take an interest in your content, interact, and share it. You can also do polls on your story to let your followers decide which dress will look better on you or which shoes they want you to wear for the party.

Keep It Interesting

To be honest, no one wants to follow an account with a boring and inconsistent feed. Your feed should be relatable with a proper theme. Before you start posting, you should pick a specific theme for your account and stick to it. Choosing a theme and organizing your feed will give the account an eye-catching look.

Another important point that will help boost your account is posting relatable stuff. That is the main reason why I was able to grow my account in no time. Try to give your posts a touch of relatability so everyone can share them.

Be Consistent

Consistency is the key to being a successful content creator on Instagram. The Instagram algorithm favors those accounts that spend more time on Instagram. Posting frequency is different for accounts concerning different goals they have. But posting once or twice daily is good for your account to grow.

Collaborate with other Accounts

Thanks to this new feature of Instagram, creators can now collaborate with other creators to get a boost start. Try to approach accounts with the same niche as yours and invite them for a collaboration post. This is a great way to increase your reach and get new visitors.

Reels

Instagram has rolled out the new update which allows users to upload videos up to 3 minutes long. Try uploading reels which are typically 1–2 minutes long. The algorithm is boosting such videos and increasing their reach drastically.

Conclusion

If you keep the above points in mind, hopefully, your account will grow sooner than you expect. No matter how hard it feels to post, keep your account active and running. You never know when your content is going to blow up. Take a break but don’t quit. Good luck.
