TripMode 3.2.2 is out,

and includes something that Apple power users and developers will like : early support for macOS Sonoma, which was announced earlier this month during WWDC 2023, and many VoiceOver improvements.

With almost 10 years of continuous improvements under its belt, TripMode remains your best bet when it comes to controlling internet traffic on your Mac — that’s because many background updates happen without you ever knowing, slowing down your calls, using your limited data, and sneakily pumping your data to who knows where. Today we’re introducing the TripMode beta program on TestFlight, giving you early access to the latest features to help you save data and browse faster, before anyone else. By using a TripMode beta version, you can help us improve the quality of new TripMode releases before they reach a wider audience, all thanks to your feedback.

Who can join?

• Already use the Mac App Store version of TripMode
• If you purchased TripMode from our website or via Setapp and join the beta program, you won’t be able to use your existing license, and won’t be able to use your existing license, settings, profiles, and reports. This is because Apple’s TestFlight service is linked to the App Store, and doesn’t work with app’s distributed via other means.

There is a limited number of TestFlight spots available, which means that we reserve the right to remove users without prior notice to free up spots.

What is expected from me?

We encourage that you test TripMode, report improvement suggestions, issues or bugs. To report feedback, simply :

1. Open the TestFlight app on your Mac.
2. From the Apps list in the sidebar, select TripMode
3. Click Send Beta Feedback.

What’s new

The Advanced tab makes a comeback. You can find it the TripMode settings, allowing you to customize the look and feel and make TripMode more accessible.

The advanced tab includes:

• A transparent / opaque toggle for the main TripMode window, which can help make the content more readable.

AppleScript enhancements

If you are an advanced user and like automation, you’ll like this. We enhanced TripMode’s AppleScript support and fixed a few bugs. AppleScript allows you to set the filter state and get a variety of information from TripMode right from your own scripts.
