Where we honestly are. Right now.

osmoda is an early-beta open-source project, not a billion-dollar SaaS. The point of this page is to tell you what we've actually shipped, what's in active build, and where we're asking you to trust the architecture before there's a logo wall to point at.

solid today
  • 10 Rust daemons, 92 typed tools, 20 pre-built skills shipped
  • NixOS atomic deploy + rollback (one config, one revert)
  • SHA-256 hash-chained audit ledger — math, not vibes
  • Watchdog + 6-second median wedge recovery
  • KEYD vault: agent never holds raw credentials
  • Apache-2.0 — clone, fork, run on your own server today
still moving
  • First pilot customer in onboarding (story published when named)
  • SOC 2 Type II evidence generation shipped; certification in progress
  • HIPAA / 21 CFR Part 11 controls mapped; not certified
  • Bubblewrap Tier 1/2 enforcement on the v1.4 roadmap (capability surface ships today)
  • Industry blueprints below are reference architectures, not documented customer deployments
  • Dollar-savings figures are estimates against the stacks they replace — measure your own

The code is the proof. The repo is at github.com/bolivian-peru/os-moda; the version + changelog land with every release. Buy the architecture, not the headline.

industry blueprints · reference architectures

Pick your industry. Build the company.

Twelve industry reference architectures — designed to replace stacks that typically cost $50k–$500k/yr. Each tile is a blueprint of the daemons, tools, and audit posture an industry needs. Not a documented customer deployment until a named pilot publishes their story (above).

Your industry, your stack.

Twelve industries shipping today. Healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, marketing, construction, recruiting, real estate, wealth, logistics, e-commerce, law. Each replacing a $50k–$500k legacy stack their industry overpays for.

Yours — not ours

You own it. We don't.

If we vanish tomorrow, you keep running. Open source. Auditable. Reversible. The opposite of every SaaS that's ever held you hostage.

  • Open source (Apache-2.0) — clone, fork, self-host
  • Cryptographic audit trail — prove what happened
  • Crypto keys baked in — never leave the box
  • Post-quantum encrypted mesh between your servers
  • EU-hosted by default — your data, your jurisdiction

why this one feels different · concrete contrasts

It's not any of those.

You've tried ChatGPT. You've tried Manus. You've tried Zapier, AWS, and three npm libraries. Here's the line-by-line on what actually changes.

vs. ChatGPT / Claude.ai

It actually does the thing.

Chatbots draft. osmoda ships. Persistent memory between sessions, root access to a real machine, 92 typed tools. The agent isn't talking to you — it's working for you.

them
  • context wipes on close
  • no tool execution
  • no scheduled work
os.moda
  • lifetime memory per agent
  • 92 typed tools
  • cron + watchdog built-in
read the deep-dive →
vs. Manus / Devin

You own the machine.

Manus runs in their cloud on their rules. osmoda runs on your dedicated VM, EU-hosted, Apache-2.0 licensed. Take it home any day. Your data, your audit log, your kill-switch.

them
  • their cloud, their TOS
  • no SSH, no exports
  • billed per task
os.moda
  • your VM, your keys
  • SSH + Apache-2.0
  • flat-rate, predictable
read the deep-dive →
vs. Zapier / Make / n8n

No wiring required.

Other tools want you to draw flows. osmoda has 92 tools and an AI that picks the right one. Tell it the goal in English. Skip the trigger-action graph entirely.

them
  • draw every node
  • task-volume pricing
  • trigger limits
os.moda
  • describe the goal
  • flat plan
  • no node ceiling
read the deep-dive →
vs. AWS / GCP / Heroku

Flat $29. No DevOps.

Dedicated server, NixOS, atomic rollback, hash-chained audit, post-quantum mesh. All pre-installed. Predictable monthly bill — no usage cliffs, no metering surprises.

them
  • 12-page bill
  • IAM rabbit-holes
  • 10-second function caps
os.moda
  • one invoice
  • one config file
  • long-running by default
read the deep-dive →
vs. Anthropic / OpenAI direct

Same Claude. With hands.

Their APIs hand you a brain. osmoda gives the brain a body: filesystem, network, services, wallet, mesh, scheduled jobs, persistent memory, on-device voice. Bring your own key.

them
  • a chat completion
  • no filesystem
  • no scheduling
os.moda
  • a body for the brain
  • FS + net + wallet
  • BYO key, BYO model
read the deep-dive →
vs. building it yourself

You won't.

You've been "going to set up an agent stack" for six months. We did it: 10 daemons, 92 tools, 20 skills, modular runtime. $29 instead of three weekends.

them
  • 3 weekends, half-finished
  • duct-taped cron + tmux
  • no audit, no rollback
os.moda
  • 10 daemons preinstalled
  • watchdog + atomic deploy
  • audit + rollback shipped

We're running our first pilot. Their story lands here.

osmoda is early-stage and open-source. Rather than fill this page with anonymous testimonials, we're onboarding one named pilot customer at a time and publishing what they actually built — the workflow, the daemons they run, the SaaS bill they retired, the audit ledger they keep — when they're ready to be named.

Common questions

Things people ask before signing up.

Is it really hands-off?

Yes — and you stay in charge. Anything risky (sending money, deleting data, shipping prod) waits for your one-tap approval from your phone.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Cancel any day. Refund prorated to the day. Export your data. Or self-host the open-source build. We don't trap you.

Is my data private?

EU-hosted by default. Voice runs on-device — audio never leaves the box. Crypto keys live in a sandboxed daemon with zero network access.

Can I bring my own Claude key?

Yes. Anthropic OAuth (Claude Pro / Max — flat rate) or API key (pay-per-token). Switch from the dashboard, no SSH or rebuild.

How is this different from ChatGPT or Manus?

ChatGPT is a chat box. Manus runs in their cloud on their rules. osmoda is a dedicated machine you own — persistent memory, 92 tools, root access, open source. The difference between a consultant and a full-time employee.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You describe in plain English. The agent handles the rest. If you want to go deeper (SSH, custom apps), you can — you don't have to.

How much will it actually save me?

Solo operators report 4–6 hours/day back. At a freelancer's $75/hr, that's $9–13K/month of your time. The Pro plan is $35.

Stop doing the work. Run it.
