ROStartup is the representative and cohesive force of the Romanian startup ecosystem. Acting as an umbrella for the ecosystem, we bring together startup enablers organizations from Romania. We aim to facilitate collaboration, foster strategic alignment, enhance communication, and leverage synergies to magnify our collective impact.
Our vision is to position Romania as a leading Startup Hub at the European level, offering an ideal environment to develop and grow thriving startups. To achieve this, we offer a blend of capacity-building programs, policy advocacy, internationalization efforts, and financial support mechanisms.

“Scaling Up Romania: A Policymaker’s Toolkit” presents the key observations for the operationalization of the first National Startup Ecosystem Strategy and summarizes a set of policies and tools for its implementation.
Thus, the deficiencies in the existing policies can be addressed, in order to reach an increase in the number of companies entering the market and the number of Romanian firms that have the potential for rapid growth (scalability).

This report, which will serve as an input to Romania’s envisioned first ever National Startup Ecosystem Strategy, will be officially launched in September 2022 and it outlines three essential elements to inform a comprehensive strategy in support of entrepreneurship in Romania.
