What is ROStartup?
ROStartup is the representative and cohesive force of the Romanian startup ecosystem. Acting as an umbrella for the ecosystem, we bring together startup enablers organizations from Romania.
We offer a blend of capacity-building programs, policy advocacy, internationalization efforts, and financial support mechanisms – all aimed at cultivating a nurturing environment that propels the growth and global visibility of the Romanian Startup Ecosystem.

- Encourage the sharing of resources, best practices, and collaborative projects among ecosystem players
Capacity building and educational programs for ecosystem enablers
- Develop and deliver tailored training programs and resources for incubators, accelerators, and other support organizations to enhance their operational efficiency and impact
- Implement mentorship programs that connect new and established enablers with international experts and successful entrepreneurs to exchange knowledge and experiences
Financial support for ecosystem enablers
- Provide grants and financial aid to qualified startup enablers for program development, infrastructure improvements, and scaling of successful initiatives
- Facilitate access to European and global funding opportunities, assisting enablers in navigating and securing international grants
Strategic partnerships and funding
- Forge strategic partnerships with public and private sector entities to secure sustainable funding sources for ecosystem development activities
- Collaborate with universities, research institutions, and corporate partners to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and the startup community

- Develop and execute a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy to position Romania as a leading innovation hub on the international stage
- Highlight success stories and key achievements of Romanian startups and enablers through various media channels to enhance visibility and attract international interest

- Conduct research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the Romanian startup ecosystem, informing policy recommendations and strategic initiatives
- Engage with governmental authorities and policymakers to advocate for favorable regulations, support mechanisms, and investments in the startup ecosystem
- Organize roundtables and public consultations to bridge the gap between policymakers and the startup community
Internationalization and global networking
- Represent the Romanian startup ecosystem at major international tech and startup conferences, showcasing the innovations and opportunities within Romania to a global audience
- Organize delegations of ecosystem enablers and stakeholders to attend global events, fostering global connections and visibility
- Build and maintain relationships with similar organizations worldwide to exchange knowledge, best practices, and to create international growth opportunities
- Build global partnerships to foster knowledge exchange and create international opportunities for enablers and startups alike.
Data gathering and diagnostic reporting
- Act as the primary data gatherer for the ecosystem, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information on trends, gaps, and opportunities
