happy weekend!

Image
It's that time in June where all you want to do is throw your hair back, jump in the car and go on a little vacation. Eric and I are off to Seattle for a super mini one night trip to watch the Giants play and celebrate Father's Day with his dad. I can't wait to enjoy the city, go to Pike's Place Market, do a little shopping and best of all, we're staying in the every so lovely Cass' apartment, which I'm excited to see in person! If you have any recommendations of shops to visit, cute areas to walk around in, or restaurants to dine in, please share them.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and happy Father's day to all the dad's out there - especially mine!

xx, Caitlin

ps. Check back here Monday for an exciting unveiling of something I've been working on for a long time.

four favorites

Image

The warm weather is still here, which means I've already run out of summer ensembles. It’s so rare to have glorious weather for this long - not that I'm complaining. So as I was shopping online, I found these items that I'd love to have in my closet for this heat.

1. Acne Moreau Chambray Dress

2. Ashley Pittman Pembe Horn Necklace

3. Lanvin Python Studded Heel Sandal

4. Pieces Premium Naysa Leather Shopper

Do you have any must-haves that I should add to my summer wardrobe?

on the menu: white nectarine salad

Image
Summer salad season is in full swing. The farmers market is overflowing with tons of salad goodies; strawberries, peaches, cherries and more - I'm in heaven! This last weekend I went to the farmers market and picked up everything for this recipe. It's easy, I promise!

Enjoy and bon appétit friends!

Ingredients:
10oz. mixed greens
1 white nectarine, cut into bite sized pieces
¼ cup sliced candid pecans, lightly toasted
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:
- Place the sliced pecans in a skillet over low heat to toast for about 4 to 6 minutes.

- At the bottom of a large salad bowl pour in the white wine vinegar and mix in honey.  Whisk the ingredients together.  Then slowly drizzle the 4 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl.

- Then cut the white nectarine into bite sized slices and add salad bowl. Gently toss until coated and add in mixed greens.

- Once the greens are coated, top the salad with the toasted pecans. Finish it off with a dash of sea salt and pepper.

a brand new week . . .

Image
This weekend was the epitome of summer here in San Francisco. It was all about 80 degree weather (with no sea breeze or fog), time spent outdoors wandering around the city enjoying friends company, stores I never get to pop into and a little quality time at the park. It was blissful and quite honestly felt like a three day weekend. It's amazing what a little vitamin D can do for the soul.

A few things that I'm loving from this weekend - the new issue of Vogue Living, white peonies (my favorite flower), homemade granola from Batter Bakery and lastly an image I took of the super sweet strawberries I picked up at the farmers market this weekend.

I hope all of you had just as sweet of a weekend as I did. Let this week bring you joy, happiness and productivity!
