SlashNEW is Newcastle’s biggest technology conference. Running in 2026 for its fourth year, the two-day conference aims to celebrate the vibrant Newcastle technology scene and give technology professionals in the area access to upskilling and networking locally.
SlashNEW showcases fantastic keynotes, a line-up of speakers from Newcastle and beyond, panel discussions, workshops, and ample networking opportunities. All supported by a group of fantastic local and international sponsors.

Our Roots
This conference is organised for technology professionals by technology professionals and aims to represent everything Newcastle; from the large enterprise-level organisations to the home-grown local businesses and everything in between.
Following a successful inaugural event in 2023, the SlashNEW Conference has continued to experience strong year-on-year growth, increasing both attendance and engagement with each successive year.
Newcastle is a hidden gem with a thriving technology community. With a range of technology meetups running monthly in the city, the tech ecosystem is highly connected. With an ever-increasing remote workforce in the city, fostering a thriving Newcastle tech ecosystem has never been more critical or more possible, and we’re delighted to create the space to form and strengthen connections.
