Hello everyone~! How was the first few days of your new year? For those who have started off the new year with a bang — good for you! And for those who have started it on bad terms — I hope that things will look up for you in the days to come! As for me? My first few days of the new year were fine, but it wasn’t spectacular.

Oh let’s see here… What’s this? Another post? — And a review nonetheless! I feel like this has been waaaaaay overdue so I decided to make another review post since I doubt anyone is interested in my comments for upcoming figures. ~_~; I have a huge backlog of unopened figures since I haven’t done any reviews in a long while, so I decided to start again! I’m trying out a different review style in this post, so please do comment on it. The subject of this review is the cute Nendoroid Nao Staccato ver. from the online game Mabinogi. The Philippines is known for having the longest celebration for the Christmas season. As early as September, people are playing Christmas songs, hanging up Christmas decorations and some even set up their Christmas lights and trees. Christmas is usually known for getting presents and having holidays, family reunions and massive shopping with the numerous mall-wide sales that happen during this season.
Of course, the real meaning behind Christmas, as cliche as it sounds, is the spirit of giving.
We bloggers, anime fans, gamers and figure collectors alike are pretty fortunate with what we have. Even though we do say that our wallets get empty because of our hobbies, we are fortunate enough to even have the leisure of getting into these hobbies.
So, in light of this, I invite you to share even a little of your blessings to those who are less fortunate than we are.
Fellow blogger Xine of Toypusher is currently having a fund raising event for the kids of Virlanie Foundation, Inc. until October 20, 2010. The funds that will be gathered will be used for the Halloween Party that Xine and her friends will organize.
If you have a little something extra, giving what you can would be a great help to these kids. If you don’t have that, at least spending your time to spread the word would still be a great help. You can check Xine’s blog entry for more details about the donation.

Last month’s loot!

It’s actually September now! It’s amazing. Time passes by so quickly! I actually felt like yesterday was Monday, even though it’s going to be Thursday tomorrow already Thursday. Before we know it, it’s going to be December, and then we’ll start to say hello to 2011! O_O;
Speaking of which, I’ve supposed to have two posts out by now… one for WonFes, which seems like so long ago now, and one for my BRS review. I’ve been lazy (AGAIN?!) whenever I try and start with it. I’ve already made drafts for my WonFes posts and scratched them when I’ve realized there were so many figures I wanted to talk about! OTL
Anyway! That’s not what I wanted to talk about! I’ve been on quite a spree lately, I felt like August has been quite taxing on my wallet, but funnily enough, the stuff that I did pay for during August hasn’t arrived yet! (Mail people slow. Go figure.)
I’ve actually tweeted about this quite large package (see above photo) before, but no one really guessed what was in it. Curious? :3
Another brief test shoot!

Hi everyone! In a state of boredom, I decided to try taking a few test shots again using Celize (my Lumix LX3), and I’m pretty happy with the results this time. :3

This lame ass comic has been brought to you by yours truly! ^^;
This comic was done in like… 2 hours as a last minute entry to Optimistic Penguin‘s first anniversary comic competition. There have been 14 entries all in all and I have to say, everyone had nice humor (except for me ~_~; ).
Also, this is the first comic that I’ve ever made and I had been thinking of a storyline idea for a week. It was supposed to be different but the idea for this came from… Humpty Dumpty. As for why is Haruhi the ‘antagonist’? I couldn’t think of any character that could be naughtier amongst my figures. I as for figma Saber Lily taking the fall, it’s for the pun, as well as a tribute to Lightning Sabre‘s Melancholy of Saber Lily 4komas — because I love them so much! I hope I didn’t suck too much for a tribute!
Also, free internet cookies to whoever can guess where my stuffed penguin’s name came from… it’s pretty easy! XD LOL.
WonFes Summer 2010 post still in the works, but will be coming soon! As long as I finish distracting myself from this Ace Attorney fan game I just found yesterday.
I’m still here! Random updates, sales… and giveaways?

A Random photo because I don't know what to put in here! (and no, I do not support Apple much, like a lot of other bloggers seem to do XD)
Hi everyone! I’m technically back from the blogging graveyard after being sucked in by my borderline-chronic May sickness. I think I was sucked in from playing The Sims 3 for a while, and then I suddenly just found this huge speed bump of laziness (as if my laziness in the past wasn’t lazy enough). But really, I don’t have anything else to blame for not being able to blog except for the fact that I feel that I lacked the drive to do so for the past few weeks. I am still active in collecting, as attested by my influx of purchases — half of them being impulsive ones — and the increasing piles of boxes that can be found in various parts of my room. Those who have been following me through my Twitter might know some of the loot I’ve acquired during my silence in the blogosphere.
I’ve pretty much been active on Twitter since it’s pretty easy, mobile and instant. It really sucks your time in, as much as online window shopping could (which I’ve been SO guilty of the past few weeks).
So what else have I been up to lately? I’ve been joining giveaways! Trying to get freebies is always fun especially if you have a very expensive hobby like figure and merchandise collecting. Continue reading ‘I’m still here! Random updates, sales… and giveaways?’
