Codyssey is Coding Club of IISER TVM’s flagship hackathon, hosted as part of the science fest Anvesha. This event brings together students, researchers, and tech enthusiasts to solve real-world problems using AI, ML, and other cutting-edge technologies. Participants will embark on a journey from ideation to impact, building solutions that are not only innovative but also practically feasible.

Structure of the Hackathon

The hackathon is divided into the follwing stages:

1. Registration & Submission (Oct 5 – Nov 1, 2025)

    • Teams (1–5 members) register and submit their project directly.

    • A submission must include:

      1. Problem Statement – real-world issue identified and why it matters

      2. Proposed Solution – how it addresses the problem

      3. Target Audience – who benefits and how

      4. Technical Approach & Tech Stack (AI, ML, web, mobile, etc.)

      5. Implementation Details – complete codebase + documentation

      6. Demo Video/Presentation – showing the solution in action

      7. Impact & Feasibility – why it’s practical, scalable, and valuable

Challenges & Mitigation – potential hurdles and how you addressed them

 

 

2. Evaluation & Results
Submissions will be judged based on:

  • Novelty & Creativity: How unique and innovative your solution is

  • Technical Soundness: Code quality, feasibility, and implementation

  • Impact: Practical value and benefits for the target audience

  • Presentation: Clarity in communication and demonstration of the solution

Winners will be announced post closing ceremony of Anvesha.

 

Additional Notes for Participants
  • Interdisciplinary solutions (mixing biology, physics, data science, social sciences, etc.) are encouraged.

  • Participants are encouraged to think beyond coding: your solution should ideally combine research, creativity, and societal impact.

  • Participants should follow ethical coding practices and properly cite any third-party resources or datasets used.
