                            BBC BASIC (86) Plus

                       IBM PC Compatible Version 4.82

                    Copyright (C) R.T.Russell 1985-1999

Please feel free to make a back-up copy of your BBC BASIC (86) disk.
However, we ask you to use it only on one machine at a time and not to give
or 'lend' a copy to anybody else. "Why not?" you may ask yourself, "What
have I got to lose?". We have all 'borrowed' software at some time or
another and, at the time, we can see no harm in it.

Think  of  the programmer who wrote the program.  He isn't like  a  painter;
damp and draughty garrets don't give him inspiration - they give him a pain
in the neck. He, like you, doesn't expect to get a fortune for a day's
work, just a fair reward for his efforts. Considering the time it took to
write, BBC BASIC (86) is not an expensive program; it's ridiculously cheap.

We must sell a considerable number of copies of BBC BASIC (86) before the
programmer can afford the rent on centrally heated lodgings. Every copy
that is given away means one more day in the garret. If things get too bad,
our programmer may write only one-off programs for customers who can afford
them. Who, then, will write the programs for you to rip off?

In case the above plea has not reached you, please note:

BBC BASIC (86) is the Copyright (C) 1982-1999 of R. T. Russell. It is
supplied for use on one computer only. Neither the program nor its
accompanying documentation may be copied for simultaneous use by the
purchaser nor for use by anyone other than the purchaser.
