“Essential New Music.” – The Sunday Times
“Emotions delivered with an unfiltered, glaring legibility.” – Pitchfork
“A voice for the introverts.” – British Thoughts
“In these fractured and divided times perhaps it is time to use music again to be the first step of a healing process. And Ethan Gold not only does that but does so in the heightened yet compelling way that the likes of John Lennon were so adept at. Ethan Gold’s message is simple. How can you not love it? How can you not warm to its charms? How can you not follow its gentle and obvious advice? How indeed?” – The Swindonian UK
“His music fosters connection and unity for his fans around the world.” – GQ South Africa

Ethan Gold is a songwriter, film composer, and poet, operating at the intersection of indie rock and experimental pop, or “art rock for hermits” as he calls it on the playlist of some of his favorite music. This spring, he releases Earth City 2: Nightfolk, the second chapter in a trilogy following Earth City 1: The Longing — an emotionally charged, nocturnal record already rolling out through a steady stream of singles and videos.

Across his career, Gold has released seven albums, including three film soundtracks (Adventures of PowerThe Song of Sway LakeDon’t Let Go), a vintage synth album Expanses: Teenage Synthstrumentals, and the covers collection Live Undead Bedroom Closet Covers. Prior to releasing his praised debut Songs From a Toxic Apartment, he produced and arranged Elvis Perkins’ debut album Ash Wednesday.

Next video “When the Evening Comes” will be launched in live performance at Clärchens Ballroom in Berlin on February 6, in collaboration with production company Bonaparte.

Beyond music, Gold stars alongside his brother Ari Gold in Brother Verses Brother, a semi-autobiographical feature film Executive Produced by Francis Ford Coppola. The film premiered at SXSW 2025 and has already drawn major attention from outlets including Deadline, the Los Angeles Times, and The San Francisco Chronicle.  The film is expected to have a September 2026 release.
