Adding another sibling node below my current node Adding another sibling node below my current node

Am I missing something? I can’t see an easy way to add another (sibling) node below the one I am on. It seems the only way to do this is to tap on the node’s parent, then tap “+”, which is very laborious.

I would have expected hitting Return would create a new node below, but no. And there is also no sibling/child control icons on the screen (only on the keyboard, which is usually not visible).

I’ve tried MindNode a few times down the years, and always given up almost immediately when I hit this, I’m used to being able to easily add more sibling nodes below in Xmind without convoluted measures.

App Crash App Crash

Hi everyone,

I am in a desperate situation and I really need your help.

I have been working heavily on a specific MindNode file for the last 4 days. While editing, I made a mistake: I wanted to copy/paste an image, but I accidentally pasted it into all my nodes (or replicated the map inside itself).

The app froze immediately. I tried to use Undo (Ctrl/Cmd + Z), but it didn't work.

Now, the app crashes completely on startup. I can't even open it to delete the problematic file. It seems the file is too heavy or corrupted, causing the app to crash instantly every time I try to launch it.

What I have tried:

  • Restarting the device.

  • Sharing the link (didn't work).

  • Deleting the file (didnt work too).

My question: Is there a way to restore a previous version of the file or delete the local cache without opening the app? I cannot afford to lose these 4 days of work.

Any help would be a lifesaver. Thank you!
