MAKERSPACE Now OPEN!

We’re excited to announce the Red Oak Public Library Makerspace, created in partnership with Google is now open! 

The Makerspace is designed for creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Two 3D Printers (MakerBot Sketch & Sketch Large)
  • Cricut Venture for professional-quality cutting and crafting
  • Two Sewing & Embroidery Machines
  • Engino Engineering Kits
  • LEGO Kits for all ages

Coming Soon: The xTool M1 Ultra - an all-in-one maker machine that can laser cut, engrave, and create detailed, hands-on projects, giving you even more ways to turn creative ideas into something real. The M1 Ultra is a laser cutter, engraver, a printer, and a drawing robot supporting more than 1000 different materials!

Whether you’re an artist, hobbyist, student, or entrepreneur, the Makerspace offers the tools and space to bring your ideas to life.

AWE Learning Stations!

The library offers four bilingual AWE Learning Stations, available in both English and Spanish! These award-winning desktops are designed specifically for Early Literacy in English and Spanish. The touch screen desktops provide a safe, educational, and fun technology experience filled with interactive games and activities that support early literacy, math, science, and more with programs such as After School Edge and Robogarden.

Thanks to the generous support of the Ladd & Katherine Hancher Foundation, these stations are ready to spark creativity and learning for children of all ages. Stop by and check them out during your next visit!
