Hi, I'm Jordan Mechner, creator of Prince of Persia. I've written and drawn a graphic novel, "Replay," that tells my story of four decades making games... and the story of my family. jordanmechner.com

If you recognize the Apple II retro gaming peripheral in this photo... you're one of the few!🕹️ And if you actually HAVE one, or know someone who does... Please contact me!! 💾 I'm looking for a 1980 VersaWriter, the graphic tablet I used to create the rotoscoped Karateka

In today's blog post, I tell the story behind the often-overlooked Prince of Persia 3D (1999) The one in between the original 2D games and Sands of Time.💾 Thanks to @playersua in Kyiv for remembering POP3D on its 27th anniversary!🙏❤️ jordanmechner.com/en/latest-news…

Fascinating experiment! Is it petty to say I'm kinda secretly glad the AI didn't succeed (yet)?

An AI experiment: porting my favourite game, Prince of Persia (released for the Apple II in 1989), from its original 6502 assembly source to C#, done entirely by AI, without me touching the code. Read the full story: blog.priyan.in/2026/09/analyz… @jmechner #princeofpersia
