FallBelt: Intelligent Fall Detection

The Problem
Every year, millions of seniors suffer from falls that lead to serious injuries, often because help does not arrive in time. Many elderly individuals fear losing their independence, while their families worry about their safety when they are alone.
The Solution
FallBelt is a hardware-software integration that uses a wearable belt (ESP32) and a companion Flutter app to detect falls automatically. When a fall is detected, the app immediately triggers a high-visibility alert and notifies emergency contacts, ensuring rapid medical intervention. It allows volunteers to see their location on a map, and arrive promptly to provide assistance. In case the alert is not canceled, it calls emergency services.
