dates: return a location without a region when the locale has no name for it get_timezone_location() falls back to the CLDR region 'ZZ' ('unknown region') when the zone's territory has no name in the locale, but it then looked that name up with [] instead of .get(), so every locale that does not translate 'ZZ' -- 347 of the 1,121 locales -- raised KeyError: 'ZZ' for a perfectly valid zone. get_timezone_name() reaches the same code when no zone variant is given, so the crash surfaced through the public name lookup too. Leave the region out of the result in that case, which is what the location format degenerates to when the locale cannot name the region.

extract: Warn when skipping an f-string with substitutions (#1350) An f-string that interpolates values cannot be translated, so extraction skips it. Since #915 replaced eval with ast it is skipped silently: the message never reaches translators, and nothing tells the author. Warn instead, in the same format as the existing "Empty msgid" warning. Both tokenisation paths are covered: before Python 3.12 the whole f-string is a single STRING token, and from 3.12 (PEP 701) a substitution arrives as a non-FSTRING_* token and the f-string is dropped where current_fstring_start is reset. Fixes #715

Normalize negative inputs in generated JavaScript plural rules (#1414) Use absolute values before evaluating generated plural rules, matching Python and the Unicode plural operand definition. jslexer: stop regexp literals from spanning lines A regexp literal cannot contain an ECMAScript line terminator, and a backslash cannot escape one either, so the fallback regexp rule must not match across a line break; it previously swallowed the rest of the source and silently dropped every gettext() call it contained (issue #640). Per review, drop the jslexer-level token assertion tests; the extraction result is what matters.
