The Thinking Companies
What we believe about AI, companies and the work of changing them.
Companies run on old decisions.
A process is a decision made once so nobody has to make it again. That is how a company scales. It is also why it keeps pricing for last year’s costs, approving through a structure built for a smaller business, and planning for customers who have already moved on. The process does not notice. It runs as written.
Reconsidering is now affordable.
Reopening a decision used to take a project: weeks of analysis, a team and a budget. AI agents now do much of that work as part of running the business. A company can question its assumptions as often as the market changes them, and take on problems that were never worth the cost of thinking about.
Spend the new capacity on decisions.
It is as easy to produce analysis nobody uses as analysis that changes a decision. Choosing where to point this capacity is now a management job. The test is whether the effort changed a decision or improved a result.
A company moves at the speed of its slowest handoff.
Speed up one task and the bottleneck moves to the next desk. So we treat the process as the unit of transformation. We start from the result the business needs and change what stands between you and it: the decisions, the handoffs, the systems, and who answers for the outcome.
The job is coming apart.
A job bundles knowledge, time, execution, judgment, responsibility and authority. Agents can now supply some of those separately. That gives a company more freedom in how it designs work, and makes one question matter more than before: who can commit the business, and who answers for the result.
Transformation becomes a habit.
When changing a process costs less, a company can afford to do it whenever demand, costs or customers move. We leave you with a process your own team runs and improves, and the habit of reopening the decisions behind it. That is what we mean by a Thinking Company.
The work is done when the EBITDA moves, and your team can keep it moving.
