SUPPORTED HARDWARE

Why use AdaOne for robotic programming
AdaOne is compatible with a wide range of processes and industrial robots – for example ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, and FANUC.
01. FLEXIBLE & ACCESSIBLE
AdaOne covers every aspect going from design to finished part, with optimized support for a wide range of hardware, deposition technologies, and materials.
Robot agnostic
AdaOne is compatible with a wide range of industrial robots and positioners – for example from ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, and FANUC – and can be adapted to handle custom kinematic systems up to 14 axes.
Wide process support
AdaOne supports all commonly robotized additive manufacturing technologies: Wire Arc AM, Wire Laser AM, Laser Metal Deposition, Pellet Extrusion, Filament Extrusion, and Concrete Extrusion.
Covers the entire workflow
The software provides every tool needed to go from design-to-manufacturing, including part optimization, path planning, process optimization, robotic simulation, program creation, and process monitoring and control.
02. INTELLIGENT & INTUITIVE
Iterate quickly and save time with the help of built in process and robotics expertise, automated part analysis, path planning, and manufacturing simulation.
Part optimization
Import a 3D model as a Brep CAD model (STEP or Rhino .3dm) or a mesh and optimize the geometry for large scale 3D printing using our powerful tools for geometry simplification, segmentation, and surface offsetting.
Advanced path planning
Use one of the many optimized tool path planning strategies to capture the advantages of multi-axis additive manufacturing. Generate print programs for planar, angled, multi-planar, or conformal printing or combine multiple strategies into a single program.
Process planning and simulation
Simulate robot programs and manufacturing sequences before export to identify and interactively fix reachability issues, collisions and singularities.
03. INTEGRATED
Connect to a robot cell and sensors with the AdaOne Manufacturing module and monitor and control the process while it is running.
Monitoring for quality assurance
Setup a digital twin of your robot cell environment, process head, and sensors and connect to the robot controller for monitoring and data logging. Interactively explore, replay, and analyze captured data to identify process deviations and defects quickly.
Capture process specific data
The Manufacturing module can be setup to visualize important data for a specific deposition technology, for example wire feed speed, voltage, and gas flow for Wire Arc AM.
Seamless integration for control
For advanced uses, the Manufacturing module can be customized to integrate with external supervision, data analysis, and process control systems.

GENERAL
Which operating system does AdaOne run on?
AdaOne runs on Microsoft® Windows® 10 and 11. For more details, check the system requirements in our documentation.
Are there different versions/tiers of AdaOne?
No. There’s only one AdaOne—everything is always included. No add-ons, no hidden options. All commercial subscribers receive monthly updates, with access to the five previous versions and a preview of the next update.
In which language is AdaOne available?
AdaOne is available in English.
How does AdaOne ensure security and data sovereignty?
AdaOne is a fully on-premises solution, meaning your data, processes, and intellectual property stay 100% within your infrastructure. No cloud dependencies, AdaOne is ensuring compliance with the strictest industry regulations.
INTEGRATION & COMPATIBILITY
What import formats does AdaOne support?
Our preferred format is Brep (STEP files). We also support mesh formats like STL and are actively working on adding new formats like 3MF.
For seamless software integration, we also offer specialized import formats, including Ada3DP©, perfect for Grasshopper users or advanced Python developers.
What export formats does AdaOne support?
AdaOne natively supports almost all major robot brands and CNC controllers.
We also provide open formats like CSV, giving you full control over your output. For deeper integration, we offer specialized export formats like Ada3DP©.
Is there an AdaOne API available?
Yes, on request and under specific conditions. If you’re interested, contact us at [email protected].
Can I configure my machine kinematics as I want?
Yes! AdaOne includes a built-in library of robots, machines, and external axes, giving you complete freedom to create the setup you need. You can even integrate non-standard elements. For added convenience, AdaOne also features an automatic cell configurator, allowing you to generate cells based on your project needs.
Can I integrate any tool into AdaOne?
Yes! AdaOne supports multi-use tools (for example, printing and scanning with the same tool) and automatic multi-tool switching through its trajectory sequencer. You’re free to use and configure as many tools as you want.
Can I configure my post-processor freely?
Yes! AdaOne features a built-in post-processing library, giving you full control over your output. All post-processors are ready to use, and you can customize them with optional headers, footers, and scripts to match your machine’s exact specifications.
A comprehensive set of parameters is available, allowing you to write your own macros directly in the language required. The entire system is open, flexible, and fully adaptable, ensuring seamless integration into your workflow.
