Zero Network, an EVM-compatible rollup built on zkSync’s ZK Stack, is back online after a four-week pause in block production. According to Zerion co-founder Evgeny, the outage was caused by a synchronization issue between the chain state and the sequencer. The team worked with ZKsync and Caldera to restore the network. All core functions are now operating normally, including block production, batch and proof processing, and withdrawal verification. User funds remained safe throughout the disruption. Zero Network provides zero gas fees to verified wallets by leveraging ZKsync’s native account abstraction and paymaster implementation.
Generic Protocol launched its neutral infrastructure layer for creating custom, private, yield-generating onchain stablecoins. By removing reliance on issuer-controlled models, Generic allows networks and apps to deploy native onchain dollars backed by existing assets such as USDC, USDT, and USDS, unifying liquidity. Its first deployment, GUSD, is built on Ethereum and sources yield through Steakhouse Financial on Morpho. GUSD also integrates LayerZero to provide seamless cross-chain accessibility.
