..........................................
Then on April 15th after a follow up trip to the Dr. because Hailey was a such a sick little girl......her oxygen level was so low they said we needed to send her to the hospital for oxygen.....next thing we know she's being admitted with RSV and then it turned into pneumonia! She was in the hospital for 6 long days......it's an experience I will never forget.....there is nothing worse than watching your baby so sick. She did not do well with all of the IV's and needles.....it took 4 adults to hold her down to try and put an IV in. We ended up taking her to Provo to Utah Valley Hospital in the middle of her stay to have them sedate her and put in a PICC line for all of her medicine. She was on 3 liters of oxygen for several days. She had lots of visitors and got all kinds of fun things to play with. They even brought in a WII and we played that during the end of her stay. We were very happy when the Dr. said she could go home!

ImageAfter we came home from the hosptial we had to have the home health nurse come and show us how to giver her treatments through her PICC line. We had to do it twice a day - and as you can see she didn't really love it too much! We tried to keep her mind off of it by coloring and reading while it was being done (it took about 1/2 hour each time). Grandma Mortenson came and stayed with us for 2 days and played and played with Hailey - she loved it!

Mother's Day

After keeping her out of school for a total of 3 weeks and not going to any kind of store I finally sent her back to school for 2 days.......and on Mother's Day we were back at the ER because her fever was 103 and she had croup!!!!!

So.....we had another week of keeping her home and she had to miss Preschool graduation - I think Mom was more upset than Hailey was....good thing she has another year of Preschool.

ImageI am happy to report that today we went to the park and she played and had fun like a normal 4 year old!!!! Here's to a healthy, fun summer!

Almost 3 months of catch up!!!

I'm not really sure what my excuse for being so behind on my blog is.....I could probably come up with a few lame ones (like working LOTS more hours the past couple of months, being addicted to Facebook (and couponing), working on a Scrapbook swap, catching up on my scrapbooking, etc., etc., etc.) - but the truth is it seems like once I'm a bit behind I keep putting it off.......

So here's the recap of the past3 months:ImageHailey's 4th Birthday at the Wave Pool in Price. We had a great day - we swam and swam and swam (for almost 3 hours!!) - we had a blast!

ImageBilly & his family came to stay with us one night and the kids had a blast. They went for a walk and enjoyed feeding the horses.

ImageMy latest addiction is couponing and seeing what I can get for free or a little bit of nothing. We started doing this in January and in the past 2 1/2 months I have filled my pantry with food - which means I have also been cooking!!!!

My Dad is doing great these days - and we had a great Saturday night as a family eating out and going bowling. It was a great night! I am VERY PROUD of my Dad and the changes he has made in his life - I hope he knows how much I love him!!!

The Scrapbook Expo was last weekend - and it was AWESOME as usual - nothing but scrapping, eating and gabbing with friends for 2 days straight! I didn't take my camera - so no pictures of that - kind of ironic since it was a "scrapbook expo"!!!
