Halloween

Last week was a fun filled week getting ready for Halloween. On Monday night we frosted cookies for FHE. I think the kids ate more frosting than actually went on the cookies.

On Thursday night we carved pumpkins. The kids chose their own faces to go on the pumpkin. Kaleigh chose Mickey Mouse, Jared chose a bat in the moon and Anthony chose a happy face. The Mickey Mouse was really hard. It had a lot of little fine lines to cut out.

Chad's dad is in a nursing home now and they had trick or treating there. We took the kids over to trick or treat and then visited with Earl for a little while.

On Saturday we went to Granny and Gramps. Kris made her spaghetti and even made the noodles orange. The kids all put on their costumes. It is always fun to see the kids dress up.

Kris even got into the festivities. She dressed up as Tracy Turnblad from the movie Hairspray.

Anthony wanted to be a T-Rex. I look everywhere for one and couldn't find one. I finally found this one and convinced him that it was a T-Rex.

Jared had wanted to be a black bear but I couldn't find a costume. We had this one down stairs and he decided that he would wear it.

Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary

On September 4, 2009 my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We had a celebration the next day at Kristanne's. Cole and Herb were also able to come home. The only one's not there were Meagan, Ben and Rhone who are now in Deleware and Brock's wife Morgan. We had a good turn out of close friends and family. Dad even had a friend come from California. It turned out to be a wonderful evening.

Anthony's first day of school

Anthony started school on Tuesday. He was so excited.

I am watching Kayden for a couple of days . I was on the phone and the kids were playing in Kaleigh's room. When I checked on them they had taken a bottle of baby powder and got it everywhere. They had so much all over them that I had to give them both baths.

I took this picture from the parking lot of Anthony's school. I love how the rays of sun shine through the clouds. I just wish the cars and street light's weren't in the pic.

School and Soccer

Jared started school on Monday. As excited as I was for him to start it was kind of a bittersweet day. He was so excited to go He wouldn't let me take him to school. He wanted to ride the bus so I just met him up at the school so I could walk him to class on his first day.

He was so excited to ride the bus.

There are only 8 kids in his kindergarted class. We got him into Canyon View. Hopefuly this will get him prepared to be able to go to regular first grade next year. He is gone all day. The bus picks him up at 7:55 and he doesn't get home unitl 4:00. He's done really good with it so far.

Jared had his first soccer game today. He did pretty good. He has a really good coach but one that is REALLY into soccer. Sometimes I think he forgets these kids are only 5. They have two practices a week that last about and hour and a half. He really likes it though. I hoping this will teach him teamwork.

At Jared'd game we ran into Anthony's biological sister's family. They are the nicest people and she really fits into their family. You can tell how much they love her. This is a pic of Katie and Anthony.

Anthony started soccer too. This was his first practice. He really likes playing. He will start pre school on Tuesday. He is also excited to start.
