Nope I did not spend this long weekend out of town nor out of the county; do I spend it here in metro… Saturday was spent videoke-ing the night away with office friends at Red Box, Trinoma Sunday was spent watching "Blades of glory" with two of my best bud. Monday was spent at Wensha Spa with Tere after ofc., yeah I did work yesterday. Roly, too bad you weren’t here to join us but surely you’re enjoying your stay US trip. Anywooooooo...here are some movies that I recently watched (still showing I guess), and ahmmmmm a little recommendation. Rush hour 2 Starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker - If you want a good laugh...watch it; it is a mindless fun movie. Bourne Ultimatum starring Matt Damon - An action pack movie (made me dizzy) but I don't find it nice, or I'm not a fan of Bourne.
A love story starring Aga Mulach, Maricel Soriano and Angelica Panganiban is not a typical love "triangle” story, it is indeed “ how love is not always what it seems to be”. Watch it! It is one of those great pinoy films. Blades of glory starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder is soooo gay, it is simply hilarious. Oh by the way It is only shown in SM cinemas. ---------- As for my faith today : Decisions, decisions, decisions -- you've got a lot of choices to think about today, but doing so will be an absolute joy! You are experiencing an embarrassment of riches right now, and the people you encounter today will be offering you even more gifts, in the form of kind words. Quality and quantity are both at a rare peak right now, which means that you have a unique opportunity to make some major changes happen in your life and the life of someone you care about a great deal.Hmmmmmmmm, Major changes, hmmm I think I needed that :) Geessshhh, it is freezing cold here... Brrrrr! That’s all! Tags: movie Current Mood: cold

Last night I was chatting with a friend about "what could have been", you know that kind of stuff... it made me think a little but then again I have to wipe the thoughts off. I guess it's enough to know that we are contented on what we are now(well I am), ahmmm I guess that's the way I really wanted us to be. Anyway, Someone is bugging my head for the past weeks(or months that is), I know who he is but I'm not sure why, it is making me helpless at times and sometimes it's hurting... yes, yes I got to find it out. *LOUD SIGH*, I haveeeeeeee tooooooo... *Pardon me for being so weird. Life can get real knotty, funny how things work; so sad and frustrating at times but we have to deal with it, right? After all, life is never simple ... We should Keep on shining. ..... I got to make this program working. GRRRRrrrrrrrrrr That's all! Tags: aline Current Mood: confused

I'm back from the land of smile last Thursday. From blog vacation?? Partially I guess... Our Bangkok trip was fun and tiring. Basically Bangkok is easy to navigate, most of tourist spot can be seen in city itself and is reachable via BTS (sky train) or Chao Phraya River Express (boat) or cab (funny how 7 of us can fit in just 1 cab) or tuktuk(trycicles) . Bangkok is somehow similar to our very own Manila but sadly a little better... Much safer, much cleaner and more traditional and is culture rich. Shopping is superb (Cheap clothes with good quality were everywhere). Food is delicious and cheap but mostly spicy. Our 1st day was spent strolling in temples Wat Pho(reclining buddha), The grand palace and Wat Phra Kaew(temple of emerald Buddha), sight of wat arun(temple of the dawn) was seen from Tha Tien terminal. We had a relaxing Thai foot massage before having our dinner. 2nd and 3rd day was spent shopping in Central world, siam square/paragon, MBK and pratunam market. And ohhh the sight at 76th floor of Baiyoke sky (where we had our buffet dinner on our 2nd night), was astounding although the food was just so-so. We also watched patpong for experience. The only thing I don't like about Bangkok was that most of locals don't speak English, and the tuktuk and some of taxi drivers were overcharging. I will definitely be back next time... anyway to those of you who are planning to go to Bangkok, maybe this will help: PS: Too bad I am not allowed to upload pix here... next time ;-) That's All!

Last night I strenuously went to Galleria and watched pinoy's horror flick tiyanaks. There were only 7 of us inside of us, me together with my 2 friends and a couple on our left and another on our front... The movie is neither scary nor shocking at all, we barely screamed, and mind you the tiyanaks there are not infants but kids (they mentioned that tiyanaks had evolved). And, and in the middle of those run scene there was a love story building up (that time we wished the 2 actors to be dead in the movie…haysos!). What a waste… Sigh! What is tiyanak from wikipedia: The Tiyanak (related to tangina mo gago tarantado ka) is the offspring of a woman and a demon. The Tiyanak can also be the aborted fetus, which comes to life to take revenge on its mother. Most Tiyanaks are said to live in forests. If they see a human, they transform into what looks like a normal baby. When the person notices the Tiyanak and comes near to take a look at it, that's when the Tiyanak changes back to its true form and eats its prey. They are typically portrayed to have reddish or dark skin and glowing eyes. ---- OMG!!! did I read it right??? tsktsk writting a foul words( tangina mo gago tarantado ka) in wiki... WHAT THE...the contributor must be crazy!!! That's All! Tags: movie Current Mood: good

At last, I finally found time to read a book. I am currently reading "Like the flowing river" by Paulo Coelho, Its not really a book but a collection of Coelho's reflection and stories. A part of those is the prayer that I forgot... I'm sharing it with you guys: Here is the prayer: Lord, protect our doubts, because Doubt is a way of praying. It is doubt that makes us grow as it forces us to look fearlessly at the many answers that exist to one question.. And in order for this to be possible…. Lord, protect our decisions, because making Decisions is a way of praying. Give us the courage, after our doubts, to be able to choose between one road and the another. May our YES always be a YES and NO always be a NO. Once we have chosen our road, may we never look back nor allow our soul to be eaten away by remorse. And in order for this to be possible…. Lord, protect our actions, because Action is a way of praying. May our daily bread be result of the very best that we carry within us. May we, through work and Action, share the love we receive. And in order for this to be possible…. Lord, protect our dreams, because to Dream is a way of praying. Make sure that, regardless of our age or our circumstances, we are capable of keeping alight in our heart the sacred flame of hope and perseverance. And in order for this to be possible…. Lord, give us enthusiasm, because Enthusiasm is a way of praying. It is what binds us to the Heavens and to Earth, to grown- ups, and to children; it is what tells us that our desires are important and deserve our best efforts, It is Enthusiasm that reaffirms to us that everything is possible, as long as we are totally committed to what we are doing. And in order for this to be possible…. Lord, protect us, because life is the only way we have of making manifest Your miracle. May the earth continue to transform seeds into wheat and we continue to transmute wheat into bread. And this is only possible if we have love; therefore, do not leave us in solitude. Always give us Your Company, and the company of men and women who have doubts, who act and dream and feel enthusiasm, and who live each day as if it were totally dedicated to Your Glory. Amen. It is not my 1st time in Hong Kong, but the city always amazes me. It is indeed a shopping paradise. We stayed in Marco Polo gateway hotel which conveniently located in Tsim Tsa Tsui's canton road, it is near city's ferry port and is adjacent to harbor city -HK's largest shopping mall where you can find branded shop such as Gucci, LV, Emporio Armani, D&G and etc). 1st day was spent shopping and eating ... ohhh we also went to The peak to see HK skyline and had our dinner there(Bubba gump). We went back to hotel friggin tired. 2nd day was spent travelling from HK to Macau and vice versa (1 hour travel time) via first ferry. Spent the whole afternoon playing baccarat in Wynn Macau. We went back to HK, all happy happy since we earn some bucks to spend for tomorrow. 3rd day was spent packing things since we need to check out at 1pm, left our baggage in hotels storage room and yes moreR shopping after... Left hotel proper at 6am to airport. We went there with just two luggage and back here with four bloated luggage and 2 hand carries. All in all my trip with kwekwe and mic in Hong kong was short, fun and splendid. It was tiring leg breaking and relaxing at the same time. Ohhhh not to mention the great service we got from PAL's business class, no more line, comfortable seats, delicious food and VIP treatment and etc. and etc. I'll be updating this entry with some pix next time. And and I have some funny and weird experiences there, I might I'll post it differently ;-) That's All! Tags: vacation Current Mood: chipper

We (together with Mic & kwenang) spent our weekend in the Boutique Bed and Breakfast located along Aguinaldo hi-way , Tagaytay city. The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is a good overnight destination in Tagaytay. Rooms were name after 7 stages of love, those are I love, I lust, I desire, I dream, I dare, I surrender , I escape. We stayed in I desire, room is quite small but neat and cozy, with brown walls, white curtain, a king queen size bed that was filled with different sizes of pillows, I find it a bit high but comfy. There is a clear glass sliding door going to veranda where the scenic view of taal lake and volcano can be seen. Ooh it can also be seen from their clean bathroom because of clear glass beside the shower area. (Good thing they provide a half curtain, this hotel must been made for couples). It comes with hotel standard amenities (wall-mounted LCD t.v., iPod dock, DVD player and a free wifi access). What I really like about the place was their food…. Sooooo scrumptious. For our Dinner, We ordered for mouth-watering plate of baby back ribs, tender juicy bulalo steak and lip-smacking chicken (forget the name). We opted to have yummy yummy Filipino breakfast (corned beef, logganisa, tapa) with choco marshmallow on Sunday Morning. Kudos for their chef ;-) The Boutique Bed and Breakfast 45 Aguinaldo Hi-way Silang Crossing East, Tagaytay City Cavite 6346.413.1885 More about @ http://www.clickthecity.com/travel/?p=1406

I am not happy by Paulo Coelho A comment that is very often heard in interviews is: “ ... and now that you are a happy person ...”, which provokes the immediate reaction: “Did I say I was happy?” I am not happy, and the quest for happiness as a principal objective is not part of my world. Of course, ever since I can remember, I have done what I felt like doing. That is why I was admitted three times to a psychiatric clinic, spent a few terrifying days in the dungeons of Brazil’s military dictatorship, and just as quickly lost and won friends and girlfriends. I walked down paths that, if I could turn back, I might avoid today, yet something always pushed me forward, and it certainly was not the quest for happiness. What interests me in life is curiosity, challenges, the good fight with its victories and defeats. I bear many a scar, but I also carry with me moments that never would have happened if I had not dared beyond my limits. I confront my fears and moments of loneliness, and I think that a happy person never goes through this. But that is of the least importance: I am content. And contentedness is not exactly a synonym of happiness, which to me seems like a dull Sunday afternoon without any challenges, just rest that in a couple of hours grows into tedium, the same evening television programs, the prospect of Monday waiting with its routine. I mention all this because I was surprised by the long leading article in one of the most prestigious magazines in the United States that is normally dedicated to political matters. The theme was: “The science of happiness: is it in our genetic system?” Aside from the usual things (tables of happier or less happy countries, sociological studies on man’s search for a meaning to life, eight steps to finding harmony), the article includes some interesting observations that for the very first time made me see that I am not alone in my ideas: A] - countries where income is under US$ 10,000 a year are countries where the majority of the population is unhappy. However, it was discovered that from that figure upwards, monetary difference is not all that important. A scientific study conducted on the 400 richest persons in the United States shows that they are only slightly happier than those who earn US$ 20,000. The logical consequence: of course, poverty is something unacceptable, but the old saying that “money does not bring happiness” is being proved in laboratories. B] – happiness is just another of the tricks that our genetic system plays on us to carry out its only role, which is the survival of the species. So, to force us to eat or make love, it is necessary to add an element called “pleasure”. C] - however happy people say they are, nobody is satisfied: we always have to be with the prettiest woman, buy a bigger house, change cars, desire what we do not have. This is also a subtle manifestation of the instinct of survival: at the moment when everyone feels completely happy, no-one will dare to do anything different and the world will stop evolving. D] therefore, both on the physical plane (eating, making love) and on the emotional plane (always wanting something we do not have), the evolution of humanity has dictated one important and fundamental rule: happiness cannot last. It will always be made of moments, so we can never get comfortable in an armchair and just contemplate the world. Conclusion: better forget this idea of seeking happiness at any cost and look for more interesting things like unknown seas, strangers, provocative thoughts, risky experiences. Only in this way will we live our human condition to the full and contribute to a more harmonious civilization at peace with other cultures. Of course, everything has a price, but it is worth paying. I used to skip breakfast during my younger years. I remember mom used to scold us for not taking breakfast, so not to make mama mad, we (siblings) started drinking milo, that just it, a cup of choco drink for breakfast. The habit lasted long from high school till early working years… Now, breakfast is now a part of my morning habit …
Oh did you know that skipping breakfast slow down metabolism, which means eating more food on your next meal... which will bring to a fatter you.
Why am I saying those.. READ READ...sharing the information found in my inbox.*** Don't Skip Breakfast For those who always skip breakfast, you should stop that habit now! You've heard many times that "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." Now, recent research confirms that one of the worst practices you can develop may be avoiding breakfast because the frequency of heart attacks, sudden death, and stroke peaks between 6:00 a.m. and noon, with the highest incidence being between 8:00a.m. and 10:00a.m. What mechanism within the body would be responsible for this significant jump in sudden death during the early morning hours?
Platelets, tiny elements in the blood that keep us from bleeding to death if we get a cut, can clump together inside our arteries due to cholesterol or plaque build-up in the artery linings. It is in the morning hours that platelets are most activated and tend to form these internal blood clots at the greatest frequency. However, eating even a very light breakfast prevents the morning platelet activation associated with heart attacks and strokes. Studies performed at Memorial University in St. Johns, Newfoundland found that eating a light, very low-fat breakfast would help in modifying the morning platelet activation. Subjects in the study consumed either low-fat or fat-free yogurt, orange juice, fruits, with source of protein coming from yogurt or fat-free milk.
So if you skip breakfast, it's important that you stop this practice immediately in the light of findings from this research. Develop a simple plan to eat cereals, such as oatmeal or Bran Flakes, along with six ounces of grape juice or orange juice, and if possible a fruit or two. This simple plan will keep your platelets from sticking together, keep blood clots from forming, and perhaps prevent a potential Heart Attack or stroke. So don’t ever skip breakfast. ***
Soooo...What's for breakfast?
That's All!
