Camping and the past couple weeks.

Let me start by saying that, no I did not go camping. I will elaborate on that down with the camping pictures.
So with this first picture, we went to Sam's club and when we walked by the jewelry cabinet, Jenna imediately stopped and was looking at all the jewelry. She knew that it was something good. We just had to get a picture.

Aaron was working on a car a couple weeks ago and Bryan wanted to help. He took off all the tires on his own. Aaron would loosen the lug nuts a little and then Bryan would take them all the way off. He would then slide the tire off and roll it over to the side. He was so proud to help and do it all by himself.Image

We had spaghetti for dinner the other night and Miss Jenna (who is Miss Independant), insisted on doing it all by herself. This was the outcome when she was all done.Image
Now to our Halloween pictures. Jenna was a cowgirl and Bryan was spiderman. At Bryan's pre-school (which is at the high school), all the kids (including siblings) dress up and they walk around to all the high school classroom's. It was so fun to see how much the kids loved it and how much the high school students and teachers enjoyed it too. Image

At the Lowe's right by our house here, they do a children's Build and Grow. It is on Saturday mornings and Lowe's provides a kit to build an object. The kids LOVE it. In these pictures they made a monster truck. This last week they made a science lab. Next week they are starting Santa's sleigh and then 2 weeks later they are starting a train with the caboose, a passenger car and the engine. They do those each week for 3 weeks. Image

Now to the camping. While I was in California back in September, Aaron decided he wanted to go camping with Bryan. Aaron's mom kept Jenna and Aaron, his dad and Bryan went camping. Bryan was so excited. He talked about for weeks. They went on a Friday night and roasted hot dogs and made smores on the fire. I was a little concerned about Bryan sleeping in a tent. I thought he would get scared and not sleep very well but Aaron said that he slept great and didn't wake up at all in the middle of the night. The next morning they made pancakes, eggs and sausage for breakfast. Bryan played with the ducks and they tried to go fishing but didn't catch anything. After that they packed up and went home. Bryan absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again. Papa got him a good camping flashlight for his birthday and Bryan keeps talking about going camping again so he can use is flashlight.
Jenna also had a great time with Gran Gran. I unfortunately don't have any pictures of that but they went shopping and went to Long John Silver's where Jenna got a pirate hat and kept saying "arrrgh, I'm a pirate".

Bryan is 5...

My little boy (who is not so little anymore) has turned 5. I cannot even believe it. He is growing way too fast. On a side note, he has started pre-school too and he loves it!!
Bryan was so excited for his birthday and for my parents to come to town. We had started a countdown back in July to get ready for it. Everyday he crossed off the number and loved it. The morning of his birthday he woke up to Ma and Papa being here (I had picked them up from the airport late the night before). He went to pre-school and we took cupcakes to celebrate. Then we went to Stevi B's for lunch and then to the zoo (which I forgot my camera). That night we had a family dinner with my parents, Aaron's parents and Aaron's brothers, Ricky and Bradley. After dinner Bryan opened presents and we had cake.

On Saturday we had a birthday party with Bryan's friends. We decided on a spiderman theme since that is what he wants to be for Halloween. He got a lot of neat presents from his friends.

Bryan is always talking about a pinata so we got one for his party. All the kids had so much fun hitting it and trying to get it to break. Bryan was actually the one that finally broke it and he was very proud of that!

Thank you Addison, Nathan, Thatcher, Caisen, Uncle Ricky, Uncle Bradley, Gran Gran, Papa, Ma and Papa for coming to celebrate with us. Bryan had a GREAT birthday and thank you all for the wonderful presents!

Uncle Kevin is home!!!

My little brother Kevin just got home from serving a mission in Colorado and I was able to fly out to California and be there when he flew in. Aaron took a week off of work and stayed home with the kids and I got a wonderful, relaxing break to myself! We had such a fun weekend with all the 5 kids back together! We were missing Aaron, Bryan, Jenna, Katy (my brother Bryan's wife) and their 2 kids, Bradley and Alex. Hopefully we will all be able to be together for Christmas.
