We’re in suspense about so much these days, including inept and corrupt leadership, war, and climate change.
I’m in suspense about people getting back to me, the clicking noises when I talk, what’s going to happen with my music (I dreamt about it last night!), and whether my INR is going to rebound to a safer level today.

There have been so many disruptions lately — personally and globally — that I’m finding it helpful to focus on going with the flow.
Last night, when I woke feeling very agitated about these disruptions, I calmed myself down by listening to this:

After that first story about literally going with the flow, I came up with a useful image to help me navigate rocky waters. I accessed an old memory of floating down a big, beautiful river in Georgia with a sense of safety and joy. When I think of the weeks ahead, I’m imagining sitting in an inner tube as the river of life rushes and slows, straightens and turns. I can’t control the river, but I can relish the ride. For company, I’ve got my younger self perched on my lap as we survive this together.
