My recipe for avocado egg salad is easy to make. This spread is delicious on toast in the morning, on bread rolls for lunch or as a dip for vegetables instead of hummus at the appetizer table. And it’s a healthier spread as it requires no oil or mayonnaise.

Cinnamon buns
Hello Everyone!
I love cinnamon buns and I love baking but making them from scratch is quite a task which takes a long time.
So I can’t tell you how happy I was when my friend Petra posted this recipe on her blog a couple of years ago. I have made it a lot since then, tweaking the recipe a bit and sharing it with you today.

Happy New Year
Hello Everyone!
Welcome to 2025.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a good start into the new year.
Today I’ll be spending the first day of the new year in my usual way: in PJ’s, enjoying a champagne breakfast before watching the live transmission from the Musikverein of this year’s New Year’s Day Concert from Vienna.
I wish you all good health, good company and a good job for the new year.
The champagne is chilled and breakfast is calling. The do not disturb sign is on the door.

Crochet all-purpose bag

I’ll be honest with you. It’s been a couple of years since I made the bag for which I’m sharing the pattern with you today.
That’s not a bad thing as such, were it not for not jotting down the pattern at the time. Which means at some point I had to guess what to write. So my apologies for any inaccuracies that may occur. Please let me know if you find any and I’ll correct them.

Christmassy macaroni cheese
Hello Everyone!
In Belgium, the main Christmas event is Christmas Evening. Presents are exchanged and a good elaborate meal is enjoyed.
As I can’t have large meals in the evening, I have the main meal on Christmas Day and eat something comforting the evening before.
Last year, I had macaroni cheese. I used tomato-mascarpone pasta sauce (representing the festive colours red and white). As I love pigs in blanket as part of a traditional turkey Christmas lunch, I used meatballs and bacon to represent them. Enough reason for me to call it Christmassy macaroni cheese.
There is, of course, nothing stopping you from having this any day of the year. So why don’t you have a go at it?
