Well, i just rediscovered why it's been two months since i've submitted a deviation: so much of my work falls neatly between two or more categories, in fact relying on the interplay of the elements that fit each piece so not neatly into it's multiple categories. Where exactly does one put a sunset over mountains, having a 50/50 split between land and sky, and shot in semi-urban location?

I finaly got myself a film scanner about a week ago.Now all I have to do is scan through a backlog of 40 rolls of film, find and edit the shots worth keeping, and discover the energy to post the really good ones (all the while exposing more more film to scan and edit).Hopefully I'll be caught up sometime before Bush starts his third term.

Well, I've started a blog, which for the moment is effectively my website. Also, I've scaled back the film-scanner I'm going to buy, to a more economical model (i.e. cheaper), that I should be able to afford by the begining of Septembre. Beats having to wait probably another year before I could actually do anything particularly worthwile with my photography.

I read some of the comments you posted on a certain b/w photographer and you stole the critique out of my mouth! its nice to see that people have other things to say than "omg! so pretty!!" and actually want to help people improve.

so.. Hi.

Well hello and thanks for the compliment. I must admit that I don't do much critiquing here,I get the feeling that most of the people on dA are here to get their egos stroked, so lately I'm spending most of my time over at PhotoSIG which is very much a critique based photo community (but U'r gotten me thinking again, which is never a good sign ;)).
