Great Friend

I have one of the sweetest boys on the planet.  Austin is always so encouraging and sweet to EVERYONE!  This is a note he came home with from his 10 year old friend...

To:  Austin

Thank you for being a good friend.  Thank you for saying good job every time we play sports.  Thanks for being a very good friend.  I love hanging out with you.

From:  Kanden

I am so proud that Austin has the ability to put aside his own ego to be able to build others up.  What an amazing gift he has.    I love you son!!

I hAvE a SeCrEt!

Easton: Mom, I have a secret to tell you.
Me: What is it?
Easton whispering in my ear: I have a loose tooth!

Yep it' true he has his first loose tooth. He is so excited, he has been waiting a long time to be like his cousin Drew. So fun to see the excitement and apprehension in his eyes as he wiggles it.

Tito is TEN!

Happy Double Digits Tito!!

I LOVE this kid! He is special and amazing and there is no one else on this earth like him. He brings so much to our family....

~He is compassionate and gentle.
~He stands up for what is right.
~He is an awesome student.
(We recently had parent/teacher conf. and were told he got 100% on an end of year test they normally give to 6th graders...he was the only one in his class! Now he is in a special Math program that is for 5th and 6th graders as a 4th grader.)
~He is a great reader but, doesn't really totally enjoy it.
~He loves EVERYTHING sports, including watching ESPN in his spare time...weird... He can give you any stat on any team or any player. If life in the pros doesn't work out maybe sports casting is in his future.
~He is extremely dedicated to the things he is passionate about.
~He loves music and is a great dancer ;).
~He is learning the piano so fast and is getting dang good! I love when he is able to use his talent to enrich our F.H.E.
~He doesn't love to clean but I am determined not give up on him, for the sake of his future wife.
~He loves candy, and doughnuts...pretty much any carb you can think of that isn't good for you.
~He has an amazing smile that lights up your day and a bear hug that will knock you to the floor!

He is a very special kid with a very special place in our Heavenly Fathers plan. I know he is meant for great things. He is a people magnet. Kids love to be around him with his fun, easy going personality. I can't wait to see what is in store for this awesome little snuggle puppy of mine. Happy Birthday Bud. XOXOXO

Conversations With a 6 Year Old

I wish I could record every conversation that I have with Easton. He is just so stinking cute. I don't know if it's because he is the last and I am eating up every ounce of his sweet 6 year oldness, but he seriously makes me laugh or smile everyday!

Monday, picking Madison up from dance, he says to me..

Easton: Mom? Do you know what a bud is?

Me: A what?

Easton: A bud?

Me: You mean like a friend?

Easton: No. A bud!

Me: Like a butt?

Easton: No! Oh my heck, I can't believe parents don't know about this! You know a bud! A tiny baby leaf.

Easton: We started playing a new game at school.

Me: What is it?

Easton: It's called "run away from the girls" game...

Discussing the leprechaun gold he took to school to show his friends...

Me: What did Mrs. Hansen and your friends say about your gold.

Easton: Mrs. Hansen said incredible. Ryker(a kid in his class) said whoo your rich! Connor said is that really real or is it fake.

Me: What did you tell him?

Easton: It's real. He said to try to open it. It wouldn't open, so it's totally real....

IRRESISTIBLE!!

Easton is in desperate need of a hair cut! We usually do his hair in a faux hawk but yesterday with it being so long I asked him if he wanted me to comb it over on the side or if he still wanted it spiked up.....

Easton: I want it spiked.

Me: Your spikes are going to be super long.

Easton: I don't care, long spikes make me irresistible!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) He makes me smile everyday...
