Racer Game

We love going to the Racer games. The kids love the popcorn and the band and as they get older they are getting a little more interested in the actual game.  Another thing they love is keeping track of the score, especially Jonathan he loves numbers and the girls love dancing to the music.  It is always a fun family night.

The girls loved having matching hair.

Nicholas ate a whole box of popcorn, well I guess not a whole box since he dropped part of it on the floor.   He had so much fun!

Nicholas loves to play on the Ipad.  This is how he likes to lay and play his games.  He is a funny boy!

Alli and her best friend made these duct tape purses.

Image
Nicholas loves to sit on the counter and help me bake.  As you can see he makes a bigger mess but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Image
Jonathan played basketball.
Image
Alli and her friend made these paper spirals and hung them from her ceiling to make the "Room of Swirls."

Playing school.
Alli convinced Jonathan to play but he first had to make a sword and helmet out of tin foil.

Image
We were getting ready to go to story hour and this is what Nicholas came out of his room with to take with him - 3 bags full of stuff and a dry erase board (you just never know when you are going to need one of those).

The Day After Christmas

We had a Christmas miracle the day after Christmas.  It SNOWED!!!!!  The kids were so excited!

Nicholas absolutely loved the snow.  It was really the first time he had played in the snow.

Of course they had to build a snowman.

Here are all of the snowman builders.

Olivia got a beautician dress up set for Christmas and she did everyone's hair.

Nicholas had to get in on the action.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas.  I love seeing the excitement on my children's faces when they run into the room to see all of their treasures and opening their presents.  It truly is a magical.  Leading up to Christmas this year we focused a lot on the true meaning of Christmas.  We focused on each person in the nativity story and read about them and what their role was and what we could learn from them.  We had some wonderful spiritual discussions around the lights of the Christmas tree (some nights were better than others, especially the nights that the 2 youngest fell asleep early).  I love hearing the insight of my children and hearing what the think and feel.

We all loved the karaoke machine Alli got from Santa.

Livy loved riding her bike with her new baby doll in the basket and talking on her new phone.

We had quite a few bey blade battles on Christmas day with his new stadium.  It was fun for the whole family.

As I have shared before Alli loves to play school and so it was no surprise when she asked for school supplies for Christmas.  This is what her wall now looks like after the hung up all of the posters she got.  She was in heaven.  I gave her a whole box full of stuff and you should have seen how excited she was when she opened it.  I have never seen anyone get so excited to get a stapler.  It was so cute!  I love my little teacher.

Image
Nicholas was so excited in the beginning but as the morning continued he got more grumpy.  He was not that interested in his gifts, he wanted everyone else's presents, especially Jonathan's which of course didn't go over very well.

Look at that cute snotty nosed boy.  Love that face!

Christmas Eve

Image
We had a great Christmas Eve.  We of course had our Korean dinner which we do every year and it was delicious as usual.  Alan always does amazing!  He added one new dish this year, chapchae.  It was great addition.  We invited the Okuda's, Brandy, Paul and the missionaries.

Image
We love the Okuda's.  They are a very special family and we are blessed to call them friends.  Olivia especially loves Shari.

Image

Image
Brandy came from New York.  Just wouldn't be Christmas Eve without her.

Image
Elder Bassett and Elder Owen (they are both from Idaho),  Paul (JJ and the girls were in Hawaii with her family).

I made a yummy Red Velvet cheesecake.

Our little shephards and Livy was Mary.

A couple of years ago Jonathan started a tradition that he and Alan pose like this for a picture every Christmas Eve.  He never forgets.

Image
The kids got these sock monkeys from our good friends the Oxfords.  Sister Oxfords makes them.  We let the open them on Christmas Eve so they could sleep with them and they were so excited- one to get to open a present on Christmas Eve that is not pjs and two because they loved them so much.

They all fell asleep cuddling them.
