Happy bedtime, everyone.

Envy of the Neighborhood

Grant: "Hey Dad -- these time trial bars are my best idea yet... and they only took, like, two hours to make."

I can vouch for the two hour part. I awoke this morning to pounding noises in the garage. He was in there for a long time building something. We went out together later in the day, and they worked like a charm.

When Camille was taking the cub scouts to day camp a couple days later, she overheard one of the Ben's friends saying "yeah, I made some of those time trial bars like Grant's. they work really good."

GBH's Breakfast Grill

Grant and I spent the weekend in Provo Canyon at our annual stake 11 y.o. camp-out. He passed off lots of requirements, including cooking your own breakfast. He did a great job.

My Biker Wife

Camille and I spent a day at Sundance, where you can take your bikes up the chairlift and ride them back down. What a spectacular day.

Watch Out

Look out violin world, here comes Clara... This little girl is very
talented and has a work ethic to match. This curly haired guy didn't
know who was dealing with. :-)

Anyway, Clara is so excited. She's been with her new violin constantly
since she got it. She can even play a trill!

She is going to love this. And I've told her that she is welcome to
practice it as much as she wants -- a soon as she has met her two hour
daily quota of trumpet practice, that is. :-)

I wanna come too....

Emmie's home alone with her mom again, and she isn't sure if she likes
it. She got her own backpack out and sat on the porch after the big
kids left, ready to go wherever they went...

15 years!!!

We just celebrated our 15 wedding anniversary! And I'm wearing my original wedding suit to commemorate. So really nothing has changed with me since then, except for less hair. As for Camille, she's just hotter. That sure is a good deal.

It has been an amazing 15 yrs. We are very grateful for how it has gone. Love and thanks to all of you for being our friends and family.

Hiking the y

What a great night! We climbed to the y and watched the sun set
tonight. I forgot how far it is to that place. And how steep. Wow.
Then we came home and watched the tour de France riders in the alps,
and had a new appreciation.

Grill from my Girls

Look what was waiting when I got home from work toight! I was gone on tour during father's day, so Camille and the kids surprised me with this when I got back. Our first try was some [charred] salmon....

Non-Flammable Drunk Politically Correct Bird

The kids earned a trip to the BYU Bookstoore yesterday. They have some pretty amazing things there. This clearly addicted yet politically correct little bird is what Ben brought home....

What a Run!!

Wow, this was a great one. Last year the boys and I did several runs with the run13.com crew, and we were really impressed. So this year the timing was just right for us to be the title sponsor for one of their runs -- so it was the Smile Center Memorial Dat 10k and 5k. It was a huge success with tons of runners and businesses getting involved. In fact, the winner of the men's 10k was Josh McAdams!! He ran it in 31:25... yikes.

So Neal and Grant broke their previous records by running the 10k in 49:13 and 57:59 respectively. WOW!! They were both incredible. And yours truly busted the 58 minute barrier with Grant's help.

I'm sure we'll sponsor this race again next year -- so come on over and join us!

Cake Time

Brick Oven Balloons

Grandpa and grandma Hillam took us to the Brick Oven tonight for
pizza, salad, and for those of us who are running in the morning at
the Provo half marathon and 5k, some pre-race pasta! We had a great
time. The balloon guy came by and made Belle for Clara, a frog for
Ben, jet for Grant, helicopter for Neal, and a flower for Emmie. The
kids were on cloud nine. Thanks, grandma and Grandpa Hillam!

Easy Bake Beauty

Clara made this for me the other day. Easy Bake oven. She was so
proud, and watched me savor every bite. What a treat. Thanks, Clara!

St. Geaorge Adventure

Today we ran the St. George Half Marathon and 5k. It was awesome!! All the kids did their 5k's in record times, and Neal even took second in the 14 and under division, at under 23 minutes! Click >HERE<<
