Halloween and Mud Run

Halloween started early this year. So many things! We had the School carnival, trunk or treat at the church. A mud run and pumpkin patch!  Costume parade, Trick or treating, pumpkin carving and candy eating.

This was at Brooklyn's School Harvest Fair. I think they just couldn't get enough of the cupcakes. Addy looks like she would take you down if you got in her way.

I think I made about 4 dozen of these.

The pirate and the mermaid! ( one shell)

(both shells) What a cute pirate and mermaid!!!

Shayna, my sister in law was way to good to me and ran the Merrel down and dirty mud run with me. I have wanted to run it for a long time. It was pretty awesome. I think we are going to do it again next year, so start training to do it with us. It was a challenge, with hills, walls, mud pits, tunnels and much, much more.

Look how clean we look!

Brandon was so great to watch the girls and bake in the sun while we ran and then got cleaned up.

After the race!

I still feel like I have mud on me.

Brooklyn was so brave after the half marathon in S.F. She was super excited to run her own race. We signed her up and she ran the 1 mile mud run. She did so good. I think she was a little nervous and I know that Brandon, Shayna and I were even more nervous.

After the race! I'm so proud of her.

San Francisco Nike womens plus Half Marathon

Image
San Francisco's finest firemen gave all the finishers a Tiffany's necklace!

Image
My running partner Kami, and I ran the Half in S.F. this last weekend. It was... fun, pain, excitement, hills and more hills and much much more. I was running on an injured leg as most of you know. The good news is I did and felt much better than I anticipated. Thanks to Kami for sticking with me and finishing together. I could ask for a better running partner.

Utah Trip and Brooklyn's Birthday

Image
September is a Birthday month in my family, we got to celebrate my mom's 60th Birthday together in Utah. We had crepes together and this was her birthday Crepe cake!

Image
We took the advantage of having someone else around to take a picture of the girls and I.

Image
Grandma and Grandpa took a pic with us too. Grandpa has funny hair! ( I think he just came up from the farm.)

Image
The most exciting part about our trip to Utah and the reason for going was because my sister Ashely returned home from her mission. I had such a fun weekend hanging out with her again! Do you think we look a lot alike? So many people thought I was her.

Image
Yea, I guess we look alike!

Image
Brooklyn tuned 7!!1 Whoo hoo! These were the cupcakes she wanted. I ended up adding some fondant flowers to them, but forgot to take a picture of the finished product.   For her party we had all the girls in her class have a picnic with us after school and then we walked over to the ceramic studio and made our creations.

It was a really fun day! Thank you to everyone who called, gave gifts and helped to make her day special.

Image
We went to Bishop's pumpkin patch on the way home from  a long day of driving to Sacramento because of car issues. This picture doesn't do this pig justice, it was the largest pig I have ever seen.

Image
The goat house. We got there so late it started to get dark.

Image
Also the largest pumpkins too! It was a really cute place we got some fresh pumpkins bread for dinner and loved every bite.
