Everything but the kitchen sink

October and November were full and fun months for our Family!

Image
First up we had Brooklyn's baptism! She was so cute and giggly! It was a great day. We really profited from all those who came, so THANKS to all those who came to support her! We kept them all busy with lots of fun activities! Soccer games, pumpkin patches, a personal movie house and lots of play time for the cousins.

Kids at the pumpkin patch! I keep thinking I need to have one of these swings made for a Christmas gift!

Addy's first field trip to another pumpkin patch! She is grinding the corn off the cob.  She loves school!

Feeding the animals!

This was the pumpkin she picked out. Later Brooklyn talked her in to the fact that the pumpkin was going to give her warts. (siblings are so fun. )

It was a really fun day tromping around in the mud.

Addy's class also had their first performance! She is such a little singer always singing about silly things.

Brandon and I made a quick trip to New York! We made it back home just before Storm Sandy hit.

We had a lot of fun. We stayed with Emily and Ben on Friday night! We ate at some of the best place,s I still think about them and regret not eating more! Emily and Ben were great, Emily even got up at 5:00 am to go wait for tickets to see Once for the  second time with us!We had so much fun with them. I should have taken more pics of our trip. This is the only one on my phone. Ali and her husband came up form DC to see us too! It was very short and sweet!

We made it home just in time for Halloween! Mummy pancakes for a cute mummy girl!

School parade, looks like she has the pose down.

Cutest Butterfly I have ever seen!

It rained all night on Halloween. Not as many trick or treaters, so people were giving out handfuls. We only had to go to a few houses and we were done!

Addy Went to a very cute Cookie decorating party on Halloween at a friends house. I don't think we made it home with any cookies! :(

The first weekend in November. Shayna came up to do our annual race together. Last year we did the mud run, so this year we tried the Gnarly Neon run! We got Brandon and another friend of mine in on the fun!

We rode our bikes down to the race, so we didn't have to worry about parking!

Leah, Brooklyn's friend and her mom ran it with us! These girls are so cute together.
Thanksgiving weekend begins.... We did the non-traditional route and went on a family trip! It was really great to do something like this with the ease of just our small simple family. With the Baby coming we know it won't happen for a while.  We went to San Diego with lots on our agenda ! We went to the zoo and Safari park, Lego Land and to a Movie just for traditions sake! We picked our hotel because it had a fun pool and slide. The day that was suppose to be warm was freezing cold with wind. These little people do not get cold, it didn't stop them. They kept slipping and sliding until the sun went down.

First we went to the San Diego Zoo! We got a monkey to follow Brandon's actions. Addy was laughing so hard. Then the monkey was interested in her. We were all bent over with tummy aches from laughing.

The girls tried out their own animal tricks.

Lego Land was a really cute place. The girls were amazed that so many things were made form legos!

We missed celebrating the holidays just a bit, so when we got back from our trip we jumped right in. The girls and I read a book called the Gingerbread Girl. She was smarter than her brother and outsmarts the fox. They loved the book so we made our own gingerbread girls!

Image
Addy's foot only lasted for 1.5 seconds.

Image
Then we took off for the mountains to cut down our first Christmas tree! Brooklyn was set on cutting down our own. It was a beautiful rainy afternoon, I had so much fun with Brooklyn and Addy. Some days I really love this stage that we are in! I will have to remember that for those other days. ;)

Image
We found our tree! It wasn't the biggest, but I wasn't sure I could get a big one on the car by myself, so  this one did just perfectly. I will have to add a picture of it fully decorated soon. This is the tree the girls get to put all of their own ornaments on! It is their tree, it is the perfect tree!

Brooklyn's 8!!

Image
We had a few friends over for a birthday party for Brooklyn Friday night. We had so much fun! We made balloon animals and had an intense silly string fight. Then we played Chubby bunny and then the girls fed each other apple sauce blind folded. It was a night full of giggles, messes and screams. They had pizza, opened presents and then got in the Hot Tub! Every 8 year old's dream! I think.

The girls also had to find 4 marbles in a plate of whipped cream!

We made ice cream sundaes. I don't think I have seen such small girls pile on so many toppings. I was afraid they would never come off the sugar high.

Sunday was pretty relaxed. After crepes we opened presents and played around for a while.

We had a reptile inspired cake! To finish off the day!
Thank you to Everyone who called, sent cards or gifts and made Brooklyn's day so special!
