10 Months!

It is getting hard to write down a bunch of things for every month so this month there are just pictures. It is amazing how fast babies grow. Jonah is no exception. He is growing like a weed. I don't know how much longer his chunkiness will last, so for now I am enjoying kissing those sweet cheeks.

9 months

March 8
Nine month stats: weighs 22 lbs and is 28 inches long.
He is crawling all over the place, climbing the stairs, and pulling himself up into a standing position. He is full of energy, which is both fun and frustrating because he has a hard time relaxing enough for a good nap. Jonah is starting to say words. He says "Da" Mommm" "Ba" (ball) "bu"(book and bird) and "ba."He has also been known to moo a few times. It is so fun watching him learn. I was reading him a book the other day and pointed to a picture of a ball. He then pointed to a real ball that was on the ground. He is busy and crawling all over the place. He even crawled up the stairs already! Luckily I was right behind him and let him crawl back down. He has been happier since he started crawling. he likes, apples, pears, veggies (if they arent pureed) and bread. We got him a container of bluberry flavored puffs for babies. He loves them. He learned how to bite the lid off so we have to be more careful with where we set it. He has gotten into my bag to get it out.

We traded out his infant carseat for a bigger seat, which he has liked a lot more. He has hated his infant seat. He is a busy little boy and a lot of work, but we love him and are so grateful he came to our family. 

I am so happy I get to be his momma!

8 Months

This last month has been a busy one for Jonah. He cut a tooth and started crawling at the same time, around seven and a half months. Jonah has never been a good sleeper but it has gotten even worse during these milestones. It is so much fun watching him learn and grow. I just wish he would slow down a little bit! He knows who we are now which is so fun. The other day when Brandon came home Jonah smiled real big as he walked down the stairs and started crawling towards him. He loves bathtime, his newfound freedom that comes with crawling, and both of his grandpas. He loves everyone else too, but this kid is a grandpa kid.

Seven Months

I can't believe my baby is seven months already. Time is going by so fast. This last month went by especially fast. Probably cause it was a pretty busy month. Jonah got a new baby cousin, Clara, and he had his first Christmas. Jonah is as cute as ever!

Six Months

Jonah was six months on December 8th. At his doctors appointment he was 20 lbs! He is still kind of short, so he is a little on the chubby side.

Since the second night at the hospital we have been trying to get Jonah to take a pacifier. for the first few months he would suck on it, but only if we held it in for him. Then he decided he didnt want anything to do with it and we gave up. Well a few weeks ago Jonah was fussy and driving me crazy so I had this crazy idea to try again. Knowing that I would not be successful, I stuck that pacifier into my baby's mouth just waiting for it to pop back out. And then, it didnt. He started sucking and it has been a lifesaver ever since.

Jonah has also started solids, but he is still trying to get use to the texture and taste. He doesn't really like anything yet. We will keep trying different things and hopefully we can find something he can enjoy.

Five months old!

(November 8)
Today Jonah is five months old! I cant believe how fast time is going by. This pst month has been kind of crazy trying to settle down in our new apartment and in our new lives. Jonah is a major chunk and we love it! He is wearing 6-12 month clothes already, though some of his pants are starting to feel a little tight. He is so much fun! He is finally starting to eat faster, take better naps, and is less fussy. He is growing everyday. The other day he learned how to cough on purpose and has been doing it on and off ever since. He is such a funny little guy.

His first taste of banana

We were really exited for Halloween this year. Since before Jonah was born we had planned on dressing up as characters from one of our favorite movies, "How to Train Your Dragon." We were really excited how the costumes turned out, especially Jonah's. He is the cutest little dragon I ever did see.
