Factory Tours

Papa brought Shaine & Ian for two factories tours during the school holidays. I can't get leave so I was unable to join in the fun.

Balloon Twisting

I signed up for a balloon twisting workshop organised by my company's recreational club, hoping that it will help entertain my three 'musketeers'. And the class turned out to be very fun. I'm impressed by my own balloon twisted animals - teddy bear, dog, parrot, giraffe. There were also other things like flower, gun, sabre....

When they picked me up after the class, they got really excited seeing the balloons (not me!). Josh favours the dog while Ian likes the sabre and gun. I made another sabre for Shaine and papa said that I could entertain the kids during X'mas & CNY. Not a bad idea!!

KL Trip

We brought the kids to KL for leisure and also to register Josh's birth so that he can choose to be a Malaysian (if he wants to) when he turns 18.

It was a relaxing trip with no rush and we just took our own sweet time to go places. It's eat, shop, eat & shop basically. And we also brought the kids to KL bird park.

Josh can walk now and he enjoyed himself in the bird park.

Shaine asked to feed the bird and she surprised me by doing this. I thought she wont dare to do it.

Finally, papa got to pose with the kids instead of being the photographer!

Fish Spa
Saw this fish spa in IOI Mall near PH's brother's house and we tried it out. It's very cheap, RM10 for 10 mins and there were plenty of 'fish doctors' in the tank. It was ticklish at first but later I find it therapeutic. No wonder Shaine asked to go again the next day.

The other enjoyment for the kids - the carousel in IOI mall.

New Milestones for the boys

5 December 2008 marks a special day for the boys.

Josh starts to walk independently for a long distance. Save our energy to carry him!

Ian is finally fully toilet-trained and he can now sleep without wearing a diaper at night. Save money!

Josh's baby dedication

Josh was dedicated to God on 16 November 2008. Like his gor gor who was dedicated a year ago. Since I breastfeed him for a year, I've been staying in the nursery with him and all the teachers have seen him grow up from a month old to a year old.

I've also been taking him out for Praise & Worship with other mummies so now the kids know how to raise their hands to worship God. :)

My Boys' Birthday

Ian's birthday falls on 8 Nov while Josh is 10 days later. We decided to combine their birthday celebration into one. It's easier for the guests too.

Happily packing their goodies bag. I did one bag to show them the items to put & they did the rest!

The party was held at Parkview Apt and it was a great venue. Some kids swam before the party and while the adults chit-chatted, there's also a playground for the children to play as well.

The birthday cake that got all the children excited. Lightning McQueen jelly is a gift from Aunty Mel.

Labrador Park

Image

We have become regulars of this park and we go almost every weekends. The kids will play at the playground, cycle, fly kite or have sand play. If we go on Sunday morning, we will usually meet Shaine's classmates - Alicia and Eloise. Their families also visit Labrador Park frequently.

Last Sat, we happened to meet Papa's friend, a freelance photographer ad he took a family photo for us. :)

Josh enjoying church

Image
The church started a new class for the crawlers group and Josh was one of the first few babies to be in there. He should be happy to be there because he could crawl & cruise around. I also don't have to worry about him tripping over babies. In his previous class, some babies are only 2 months old and Josh is too active to be with them.

These days, I normally bring him out for Praise and Worship and he always enjoys himself by clapping. Most of the time, he will fall asleep during worship and after that, I'll bring him back to his class to let him continue his sleep.

Lantern Festival

We had 2 celebrations this year - in Capstone Kindy & with the cell group.

In Capstone
Papa joined the peeling of pomelo contest and came in .....

Image

The kids were disappointed because they forgot to bring their lanterns. It's a blessing when their teachers told them that they could use the school ones and it'll be candle-lit rather than battery operated.
Image

With cell group
We had the celebration at Mandarin Gardens (condo) and the heavy rain kept all of us trapped in the pavilion. God's will so that we can fellowship with the invited friends. The kids have fun fishing for guppies with the make-shift pool created by Aunty Soo.

Salted Egg Crab

Papa has been crazy about this dish and we'll have it almost every week!! Yes, bad for cholesterol but we just love unhealthy food. Over the weekends, he decided to buy 2 crabs and try cooking the dish himself. These crabs can be left for a few days and still survive! On Sunday, after we got home, we realised that the crabs were having a good time in the living room. They managed to 'climb' out of the shallow basin.

Last night, after the kids went to bed, Papa decided that he wants to cook them for supper! It was cruel to see him killing the crabs so I let the helper assist him.

After 45 mins....
Image
Doesn't look appetising but taste pretty good. My helper said that she'll cook it in Indonesia to sell next time. Not bad, teach someone to fish & you feed her a lifetime!!

Eloise's Birthday

Shaine's classmate, Eloise, celebrated her 4th birthday and it was a bbq lunch party @ the Carribean. We normally attend party under the shade or aircon room and this is the first time that we attend a poolside party. The kids were happy and they sure had lots of fun in the sun and water.

HFMD Scare & Emotional Shaine

Received a call from the kids' principal yesterday and was told that Ian has a spot on his palm and two red dots in his mouth. Again, he's being confined in th principal's office. This is the second time and the last time was in June or July. I quickly called Papa to bring him home. What a waste because today is the last day of school and there is teachers' day celebration.

Shaine called me when she reached home and cried over the phone sayin that she missed Ian. "I want to play with him, I want to eat with him and sleep with him at night. I don't want to bully him and I miss Ian." Then she cried and cried.

At night, when I reached home, she cried again saying that she missed Ian. So I video called Ian so that the two siblings can talk. My mum said that Ian is perfectly fine and he has no fever. I guess the school is just being cautious.

Papa has graduated!!

SOT - School of Theology
7 April 2008 - Start of SOT
24 August 2008 - End of SOT

After 5 months of intensive bible study, Papa finally graduated!! Before he started SOT, we were worried how are we going to send Josh to Hougang (my mum's place) because Papa has to reach CHC in Jurong West by 8.30am. We wanted to put him into an infant care but it has a waiting list so we dropped that idea.

Well, all our worries are nothing because God will provide when we seek Him and have faith in Him. God really provided us with everything - safety on the road, financial and we have definitely grew stronger as a spiritual family!! Amen!!
