Inktober 2018

This year I made it easier for me and did just the 15 images round - one every other day.

ImageOverall I'm happy with the results, I think it turned out much better than the last year. It was interesting October, most of all - I went to Linz, God is an Astronaut played in Sofia, Tool released few European dates - I had a lot of sources for inspiration :)

The image with most likes on Instagram is the one for the Tool date (it figures), the one I like the most is the GIAA one - it even got likes from the band, which was SO awesome.

The Zodiac Signs

My recent project, 12 illustrations of the signs in the horoscope:

It took me about 30 hours to complete them, and I literally don't remember when was the last time I worked so hard on а personal project and so focused. It's a good feeling. They are now for sale on Shutterstock, and also available as prints on the FB page.

Jörmungandr

"In Norse mythology, Jörmungandr meaning "huge monster" also known as the Midgard Serpent is a sea serpent, the middle child of the giantess Angrboða and Loki. Odin tossed Jörmungandr into the great ocean that encircles Midgard. The serpent grew so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail. As a result, it received the name of the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent." source: wiki

Yesterday I finally managed to find some time for something different that the boring Shutterstock stuff...

Vikings

What can I say, I like the "Vikings", Iceland and turquoise blue :)

Image
This time I've made a .GIF animation with the progress - for a first attempt it's kinda OK, but next time I will try to take screenshots more frequently, to make the transitions smoother.

I so love these ships - with their clean lines, the dragon heads and the funky different shields, attached to the body. "The Ferrari of ships", as one of the actors in the series said in a interview, eh.
