While David was in Boston. Broken Bones. Cabin. Lots More Garden. June 2018

So here we are, the first weekend of summer, and we are at InstaCare with Hayden and a broken arm. That Saturday he fell off his bike (he was actually going so slow he just tipped over.) He said it hurt, but no bones were poling out, so we waited, but Sunday he still said it hurt pretty bad, so we took him in.

He was a trooper. He has a sling for a week, and then he got a real cast.
A hurt arm didn't stop him from picking strawberries

We had so many beautiful flowers, we took some to neighbors.

David took some of his students back to Boston for a week.
While he was gone, the boys and I headed to the cabin for a few days.
While we were there we practiced scenting with the dogs. We sent Preston out in the woods, and then let the dogs find him from scenting his sweater. Dash was pretty great! #DashieDoodleTheScentingPoodle

...and Brooks just wanted to go in the RZR the whole time

We spent some time at the playground

Preston picked me some flowers at the cabin. He made sure to let me know that they were sustainably sourced..."picked from where there were a lot and they would grow back."

While David was gone, we practiced scissor skills.

And Preston did some drawings.

One particularly windy day, this blew into our yard. We don't know where it came from, but Preston took a magnifying glass out to inspect it 😎

We had a birthday party for Hayden...his birthday the first or second day of school is so awkward to have a party, so we just had one at the end of school

...we recycled Katie's birthday piney

Our little Brookser is the sweetest, wildest,  little angel. He loves Aggies, Avocados, Trucks and Always wants to be outside. His plump little piggies are always in crocs and he likes to have on sunglasses. He wants every truck to pull a trailer and he could play in the sand all day long. He is a great friend to his big brothers, and a helper to Mom and Dad. Love our little Brooksie.
