Rylan Turns 3!

Well shortly after bringing Logan home we got to celebrate Rylan's 3rd Birthday.  I can't believe how quickly time flies.  In some ways it feels like we just brought him home from the hospital.  Now he is 3 and we are doing it all over again with another baby boy!

Rylan is an amazing kid... He is afraid of nothing it seems.  He is always climbing or jumping over something.  He is constantly trying to keep up with what his sister is able to do, and many times surpassing her.  I have to keep a good eye on him because he knows how to get the food he wants out of the refrigerator and cabinets.  I have found a stash of cheese and poptarts in his bed.  I have also walked downstairs to check on him and found him at the table eating cold pizza on a plate.  He loves watching tv and movies, in fact his new favorite thing to do is watch netflix on our I Pad...something he would do all day if we allowed it.  In fact a coupe of weeks ago I went to check on him after I had put him to sleep at night to find him sitting on his floor with a stolen I Pad.  He loves playing with his cars and dinosaurs. Once in a while you can see him playing ponies or barbies with his sister...mostly just ponies though. He loves animals, though I don't know if I can say animals love him :)  He has one of the most contagious smiles and laughs and he knows it. He will use them in order to get out of trouble, at least to try to get out of trouble.  We love him so much and are so very glad and blessed to have him in our lives.

We had a party up at my parents house and Jason's parents were able to be there too.  We had a great time, here are some pictures.  The blue glow is from Logan's Bili lights that was forced to be undr.

Logan Austin Payne

Well, as per usual I am a little behind in this post.  Two weeks ago on May 27, 2012 we were able to welcome Logan Austin Payne into the world.

Technically, I believe it all started Saturday night.  Right before we went to bed I started feeling some pains, but thought it was due to getting sick.  The rotovirus had been going around our house, namely, Rylan was trying to get over it for the second time in a month.  So as I started to show signs, I assumed I was getting it myself and that the pains were probably due to cramping.  Well as the night continued I was up often in the middle of the night visiting the bathroom and the pains kept coming and started getting stronger.  At about 6 in the morning I started to vomit as well.  So at this point I figured I was in trouble.  I talked to my husband, called my mom, and decided it would probably be best to go into the hospital to make sure things were okay.  Specially since at this point I was pretty sure the pains weren't just cramping anymore....they were coming to regular. I was having contractions!  So, pretty sure I'm sick, and I'm having contractions.  Wasn't how I was planning on all this going down...but it is better than having it be a C section, which is what was scheduled for May 31.  When we get to the hospital we they hook me up to an IV, start monitoring the baby and check me out.   Turned out I was already dilated to a 4.  So the admitted me and by 7:30 that evening we had a new Payne in the world.  The only problem me being sick caused was that when we had the epidural, my blood pressure dropped.  So that was touch and go for awhile, but everything worked out.  Here are some the of the pictures from the hospital.
