Guess Who?

I never thought my girls looked the same as babies until I started to look back at all of our pictures.  WHOA! So Dane and I played a game to see if we could tell the difference.  Wanna try?

The Girls

Just another excuse to post more random pictures of the chicas.  We are doing well, yet another semester is almost over for Dane.  He is busy busy busy.  I do nothing exciting other than stay home with the girlies.  We hardly leave the house since it takes great timing, major effort, and it's just too darn cold.
We will be staying here for Thanksgiving and will head to Washington for Christmas. Dane can't wait to be home.  It will be nice to be with family during Christmas.
Sadie is 2 months now and still loves to sleep.  She loves to be held and talked to.  She LOVES Jada!  Jada LOVES Sadie! Jada is really tender and sweet to Sadie and will do anything for her.  Sadie loves when Jada gets all up in her face and talks to her.  So cute to watch those two.  Sadie is learning to talk and has a great big beautiful smile.  Jada continues to make me laugh and is so much fun to play with.  She loves to watch Whinnie the Pooh, Happy Feet, and Franklin over and over and over again. She loves to sing, dance, and most of all...be a Mom to all her stuffed animals.  She is constantly taking care of them as if they were her own children.  Diaper changes, feedings, swinging, bouncer, rocking them, napping them, cleaning them.  She is funny.

Happy Halloween or Birthday?

Why not both?! Jada had a great Birthday.  Grandma Christensen came to stay with us for a week.  She helped me with the kiddos while Dane was out of town doing school work.  I wouldn't have survived without her.  We enjoyed having her here and Jada just loves her Grandma!  We celebrated Jada's birthday with Grandma with a cupcake Jada picked out.  She was so excited about her Birthday and then was taken back when she saw the flames on the candles. (if anyone can tell me how to get the video upload to work, please let me know!)

We then re-celebrated Jada's birthday with a penguin cake.  Yes it looks very rough, I am no sweet genius. We had the intention to invite friends but the day didn't go as planned.  Dane just took her downtown to trick or treat, we had cake, she went to bed, and we opened  gifts the next day.

Halloween

We started our Halloween season by heading to the pumpkin patch to grab our pumpkins.  It was a cold, wet day and we were the only ones there.

Jada insisted she pulled the pumpkins and she did it with ease!! I was amazed.

Then comes the carving.  Jada didn't really care for getting dirty, but eventually couldn't help herself

Jada's pumpkin went moldy so we just had to throw it out.

Our town does trick or treating around the neighborhood on the Saturday before halloween.  I took Jada out while Dane stayed with the baby.  Jada saw some really spooky characters out there and couldn't help but cry and jump in my arms.  They then do a Pumpkin Walk downtown on Halloween night.  Dane took Jada then, but went a little late and missed a lot of the candy.  She loved it anyways!

She got real cold and gave up.  Don't blame her, it was cold.

She came home and first thing she said to Dane was, "CANDY!"

Trick or Treating Downtown.  Even colder!
We also did a Halloween themed dinner with our Dental friends, Clancee, Tyler, and Hugh Whiting.
We love them.  Jada adores Miss Clancee.
